Speedwell Forge Lake — Attraction in Elizabeth Township

I was looking for a lake on the Google Map for doing outdoor exercise with my little boat, and on my first site visit at the Speedwell Forge Lake in early Fall, I was so impressed about the beautiful and peaceful natural landscape in the area. The unique views of kayaks laying on the grass along the lake and people kayaking and fishing in the lake giving me a feeling of a safe and enjoyable place. I decided to buy a permit and join the activities. Started rowing my little boat in the lake few days a week to exercise while enjoying the landscape. The Fall came out so beautiful at the lake with bright glowing colors of yellow and red leaves on sunny days reflecting on the water surface. Later in the Fall, I discovered the Conestoga Trail along the lake leading to the dam, with more beautiful landscapes in the woods and down the lake along the trail. fantastic place to go fishing or hiking. Or you can put the boat in at the boat launch. It is not wheelchair accessible. Although you could pull very close to the water. There’s no pavement there. There’s plenty of land fishing available. There is no bathrooms there. The trails are lined with berries. Great for a hike by yourself or with your animal. Bring your dog plenty of space. Beautiful day on Friday October 11th 2024 so I went exploring this wonderful lake in Lancaster County near Litiz Pennsylvania. A few people were out fishing and I saw two people out on the lake in watercraft. No swimming is allowed; no public beach. The dam is really cool to see.
