Had a great day here at the water park with my 9 year old and his friends. Ig is a bit expensive, compared to Myrtle Waves, but it is different then myrtle waves and kids like a variety. We have seasons passes at myrtle waves, even got a pass for my sons best friend and we go often. The thing about White Lake is its a few miles down the road from Cape Fear ATV Park, so its awesome to ride for half the day and then go play in the water and cool down a little. There are lots of people here always, but its ok with us. Hate parking across the street. Some of the young kids running the bumper boats area are not old enough in my opinion to be running this section as there are little little kids they let on without an adult and they shouldnt be. Sometimes there are some rough looking and acting characters at the park but i guess thats par for the course. If you can find a coupon online or in a local advertisement then definitely bring it, i heard you can get a ticket for $15 per kid if you have the coupon just dont know where to find it at. They take cash or card or apple pay, have plenty of different places that sell hot fresh food and cold drinks and snacks and ice cream, cotton candy, italian ice etc. lockers available for rent, free tables and umbrellas and patio lounge chairs, can rent cabana for a fee. BE CAREFUL, the freshly painted concrete in the park is darn slippery and im sure someone has busted their head open this 2023 season, so NO RUNNING! SERIOUSLY, its like super slick when wet! I caught 2 kids that were running and started to fall and i happened to have a good natural reflex and got my arm out in time twice so far and prevented a couple kids from getting hurt. I wouldn’t bring your phone in after you pay cuz there Re too many ppl in there to be able to leave your phone under your towel on a chair. Lots of teenagers without parents. Afternoon discounted tickets i think are like $10 from 4pm to close (6pm) which is a great...
Read moreMy family and I had an awesome time at White Lake Water Park! We went on a weekday and thankfully it wasn't too crowded. The one thing I really liked about this Water Park is that you can bring in your own food and they have grills you can use to cook your own food! Omg! The smell of grilled hotdogs and hamburgers was soo good. The Waterpark has some nice tall slides! Too tall for me. But the children and younger people enjoyed it tremendously. They have one of my favorite Water features which is a lazy river. I had an awesome time floating around smelling all the grilled food. They also had a small kids area and a splash pad. There was a nice size pool just for swimming or sitting in that was around 3ft deep. Then was the wave pool. Very nice size but the wave machine needs some work. You received one medium size wave about every 10 minutes. We were slightly disappointed in that. We were used to hearing the wave alarm and getting some good size waves and multiple waves. Here, you heard the alarm and waited for one medium size wave and that was all. But the other children loved it. My child knew the difference but he didn't make a big fuss and played with some of the local children that were there for a field trip. It turned out to be be a really nice day at the Water Park. There are also life guards available at different parts of the park. I also liked that the park had plenty of tables with large umbrellas you could open to keep the sun from burning you! And they were free to use. There is also a small shop inside the Waterpark and a small eatery were you can purchase grilled food like hotdogs and cheese burgers and ice-cream. The food was good! So outside of the lackluster wave pool, this is a good Waterpark. It's definitely a great place for a family reunion or a community/group outing for children. The price is pretty reasonable. We will visit again when we vacation at White...
Read moreWe've visited on two occasions now; the first was nice. We rented a tiki hut so we had shade and we had a blast. The only problems were the frog and hippo kiddie slides are way too slick to walk/climb into to go down the slide on the other side. The wave pool is also disappointing because the waves come every ten minutes and it's only one or two of them at a time. The second occasion, we went on a weekday and couldn't rent a hut because they were all rented. (No where online does it mention you can reserve them so we assumed you had to come in person to reserve). Was told we could use the wooden tables near the octopus as they were first come, first serve. We were in the process of getting everyone loaded up with sunblock when a worker(gonna call her Karen because she had a horrible attitude) came up to us and asked if the table had been reserved. We told her what we were told up front ("tables are first come, first serve- no reservations needed"). She quipped back, "we'll have to check to make sure these weren't already rented out" and had a coworker go ask someone about the tables. When he came back, we couldn't hear what he said but Karen said, "yeah, these are reserved so you will have to move". I was in the middle of changing my baby's clothes when she informed us all about the tables. I wasn't given any time to finish up before she started hanging the rope up (the rope they use to show a table is reserved). She stood there and glared as we all scrambled trying to get everybody's things together and acted as if we weren't moving fast enough (kinda hard to move fast when there's three adults, five kids and a baby). We ended up finding a table with an umbrella and made it work for all of us. I'd recommend wearing pool shoes there as the concrete gets very hot. We all came home with blisters due to the hot pavement. :( Overall, the price is kinda high but we all have...
