Springlawn Trail — Attraction in Elk Township

There is a sign posted on the gate of the trail, clearly stating the trail is closed Monday thru Saturday, Dec. 26 thru Jan 20, 2020, because of hunting season. There were other walkers, as well as a hunter on the trail. One walker, was under the opinion, it was closed only Dec 26th. The hunter, commented, that he has advised orhers, that the trail was closed due to hunting,season. I did walk for a short distance, seeing other walkers coming toward the gate, and had a informative conversation w/the Hunter. He did say, the time for hunting for the day was coming to an end, so I should feel free to walk on the trail. I turned around shortly after the conversation. Found this on my way it's a nice trail it's straight through go out your car and go right through and it just a walk around there is a couple places u turn to go up but didn't do that went down to the river down the hill on the first what they call bridge then u go back up the hill turn left to keep walking the trail it's nice and easy very quiet there is a bench but the river along the way to sit relax and listen to the water it's very peaceful definitely...

Very nice little trail for a walk, or easy access to the creek bed. Springlawn isn't good for mountain biking though because the trail is literally a path big enough for a car. It has zero technicality to it, and is pretty boring if you're anything but an absolute beginner. It might be useful for learning to ride a bike, but any other caliber of rider would be bored in a matter of minutes here. Incredibly beautiful though, and very...
