Housed in an old mining office. Although it isn't overly large, there are two floors, a few rooms, and a surprising amount of interesting items to see. But, the real prize is the local guide. He is quite creative and has a wealth of knowledge about the area, family stories, railroad history, surnames of the area, etc. He has plans for more improvements, and it is evident that he enjoys preserving the history. Hours posted on their website/Google/maps may not be correct. Upon arrival if the museum is closed they have 2 numbers you can call for a tour. We called and a lovely gentleman was over in just a couple of minutes to open up and show us around. His family roots in the area go way back, and a grandfather worked on the railroad.
