Nice parking lot and place to launch kayaks. No bathroom or porta potty. Motor boats would need to be careful going to Elk River at low tide.

This place used to be very nice. Until (young adults and older children) started to use it as a motel and dumping ground. Burned the bathroom and flipped it over is just a disgrace. Then the swings were taken out because they were destroyed. I really do feel sorry for the park rangers and parks and recreation people who really try hard to set up and maintain our parks and green spaces. We don't have many and the ones we do have are being destroyed by p.o.s to say it nicely. When ever my family and I go to any park we make it a mission to take trash out and clean what we can. I literally carry trash bags in my vehicle . I would love to be able to work for the park service even if it is just to pick up trash and clean. Our parks and green spaces are all we have left and we need to take care of what we have. We can not get them back. Our wild animals are in need of...

I was putting my boat in at the ramp and it was dark. There are to lights to light up the ramp or the parking lot. I backed into a Ballard that they have to divide the ramps because it's so dark. After I put my boat in I was riding out twords the main river. There used to be channel markers. The channel markers are not where they need to be. The flood and all the very large debris has moved them so they no longer mark the channel. There is so much debris out there that many boats have hit logs and big metal objects under the water. If you use the ramp the mud is at least a foot deep and there is debris all in the ramp. Be very cautious if you use the ramp and if you ride out to the big river. It's a good place to fish and crab. Also a great place to picnic there is a large pavilion with tables. Also a nice sized swing set. Have fun...

The parking was great with room for trailers and cars. The boat ramp is easy to access and use. The scenery is beautiful. This particular bend in the river is shallow with mud islands and wildlife habitat. There’s a handicapped accessible port a potty. There’s a shore area where you can fish. It’s a nice location for easy kayaking or small boat launches. There’s some picnic...
