I give this place 4.5 stars but as you know, google doesn't allow half stars. Most of the people are fantastic. Olivia was there twice when my group went and both times she was confident, kind and always safe.
First trip my group did the adult tree top adventure. You can probably google a promo code to save a few bucks. After your trip, they give you a code for 20% off which only works for this tree top adventure. (not any of the other packages) The safety briefing is pre recorded. There are 4 stations. No time limit to complete them. If you're in a rush and confident you should ask to go first. Tons of fun. On our last zip line of the day, we were scolded by staff member who was raking the landing zone wearing a black shirt about 1/8 mile away. She said we should have seen her raking. I'm all for safety first but it's near impossible to see someone wearing a black shirt in the trees/shrubbery 1/8 mile away. In fact, I'd say it's easier to hear someone coming on the zipline and move out of the way. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Second and third time we went with younger kids and did the Treetop Journey. This section is in its own section of the woods. Short safety briefing then you start on the course. There are really two courses. Course 1 and course 2. Course 1 is shorter but both end in the same zipline. You'll want to do a little strategizing since this package has a 1 hour time limit. If there's someone REALLY slow on either course, you'll want to keep doing the other ourse until the traffic clears up. For example, I probably looped course one over fives times waiting for someone to get halfway through course two and finally exit course two early. If you get stuck behind someone find someone reasonable to extend your time.
Great place, lots of fun. Almost got 5 stars but not everyone is as great as Olivia. First rule of GoApe. Don't swing...
Read moreThis place is definitely for those who like adventure, aren't afraid of heights and are down to get active and push yourself. I definitely underestimated the amount of physical effort and exertion it was going to be but I don't regret it! There's a decent amount of climbing throughout the larger course that I did and there are some opportunities to branch out and choose to challenge yourself with harder routes to the same destination. Not counting the little "training" zip line, there were four in total going over the lake each time. The views are beautiful but if heights are not your thing then this will test your resolve. At some points you are well into the treetops and have to look down to see where you are stepping (not counting the zip lines!). However, while it was a hot day, the canopy from the trees shades the entire course and keeps the sun from making the entire adventure a sweat induced nightmare. I would have definitely preferred to try this in the fall when it was cooler but it wasn't unbearable at all. Just as an FYI to anyone going, make sure to heed their warning and dress for the occasion. Your going to get sweaty and dirty throughout the course and the ziplines end in some very soft but also messy mulch. Don't bother bringing your phone (risky if you ask me) and other belongings and just enjoy...
Read moreThis is one of the finest way to spend a very eventful day with friends. Really enjoyed it! We went in a group and 7 of us decided to take the Adventure course which takes about 3 hrs to complete. The cost was $58 per person. It started with a brief tutorial and introduction to the whole activity and safety instructions were repeated quite a few times. Once done, we were on our own on the 5 stage course. The stages consisted of varying degree of difficulty of activities including Tarzan, Zip line across the pond and several 'walking across planks' type thingies. Some of them were scary - especially the last Tarzan swing. It's really something to be experienced and cannot be expressed in words. I overcame my fear of heights and its absolutely safe to do all of them. There is no chance of getting hurt or injuring yourself as long as you follow the instructions of 'staying attached' at all times. I really enjoyed the several ziplines across the pond - 5 in total. Pace yourself well, stay hydrated and enjoy! We had great fun and will definitely be back if I get a chance. At the end of 3 hrs, we got certificate of completion which was an icing on the cake! It's a one of a kind experience and I encourage all adventure loving people out there to give it...
