We've been anxious to visit Brand Farms after seeing their farm stand reestablished on Akin Rd in Farmington. It's evident that this farm and the work they have put in to making it a fun family destination is a labor of love. So much thought and care has been put into the details including offering a signature treat, "The Brandelicious," setting up beautifully designed photo op stations and employing kind and friendly staff. We took the hayride to the pumpkin patch and apple orchard and played on the hay tower. One element that could have been made more clear is that you need to register for the hayride and pay for your bag for gathering apples prior to heading out to the orchard. I got in line with the other people there and figured this out by the time I checked out thru observing the people in front of me. Maybe it was posted somewhere and I just missed it. In the end, we left with pumpkins, a bursting bag of apples, a pie and caramel apples. But most important, we left with great memories! Can't wait to...
Read moreThey do not want senior or handicap people at their Farm. They made that very clear.
In our vehicle we had three Pahls csa Members and two people who wanted to buy apples. We told them that a couple people in the car could not walk the half mile or more walk up the road. They told us to leave.
They had ample parking close by but would not let us park there because we were not in a pickup truck. We were in a yukon x l which is the same size as many pickup trucks. As we were leaving they allowed a tesla to park in that close by pickup truck parking.
They very clearly do NOT want seniors or handicap people there. Total discrimination!!!
We here on October 15, 2023
Incidentally, I did call Pahl's on October 15th.
Goes to show your website is correct. You do leave lasting memories!!!
None of us bought a Pahl's csa this year. In fact, we have bought nothing from Pahl's and you are still a topic of conversation...
Read moreGreat weekend activity for anyone. The activities are super fun and prices seem reasonable. The sunflower and flower field offered a great walk with a ton of butterflies to watch and enjoy. The paint-ball shooting is super fun and the pumpkin patch is beautiful. The bouncy "castles" are fun for the kids. Hayride and food seems reasonable in price, pumpkins and eggs are super cheap compared to grocery store prices. The only thing I wish would be different would be the option of walking through the apple orchard without paying for an apple bag for $20 or $35, which seemed a little unreasonable to me. I would have been happy to pay $3 or so to walk through it with a wristband indicating that I am not allowed to take apples. That kind of took away some fun but didn't impact the whole day. Overall, this farm is a great weekend...
