Nice little area with a bunch of picnic tables however unfortunately they have all of the trees in the way of being able to see the water and any decent part of the bay which is really annoying even the bird watching Pier that they have close to the picnic tables is covered with overgrown bushes making it hard to see. We went to the local pasty shop and got some pasties about 2 miles away and then showed up at this park unfortunately there were some people riding scooters in the nature trail area which was a bit uncomfortable that they don't have a way to block the scooters from having access to the nature trail walks but it was still pleasantly peaceful I just wish people would pick up after their pets when...

Beautiful scenic park consisting of a kayak launch, partially paved and unpaved walk trails along with educational plaques you can read about eagles, reptiles, butterflies, plants and more. Bikes aren’t allowed on the trails as stated on some signs, but I still saw someone ride in using an eBike which can be hazardous and unsafe. Overall, it’s a park I loved and recommend to many for walking or going for a run. I felt it was also easy to get around and not get lost. On hot days definitely stay hydrated!

I also loved that there was plenty of sitting benches along the way. I wish more parks nearby did this. In North Port, the trails barely had any sitting benches. I also liked that they had...

My daughter and I decided to visit this park while we were in the area. We were on an adventure to find something to take photos of. The visitor's center wasn't open the day we went, which was a little disappointing, but I felt the park was still deserving of 4 stars, due to the beauty of the park.

There are many trails, and the trail with the walkway has a beautiful view of the water. Luckily there were some locals there that let us know which trail to take, to see the water view. While we were there, very seen a turtle, some really cool looking gold colored iguanas, and a rat. We hope to visit again, when it's not so...

Very nice low key (mid week) place to see a bit of real Florida nature. Surprising amount of trails through pine barren woodland. One area was closed for nesting Bald Eagles! We saw a large turtle near the main building. There are several nice shady benches near the water and small Environmental information center. Small openings along the water allow access for fishing through the Mangroves. Would visit again, especially early in the day if hiking as there may be 5 miles of easy trails here! Worth a visit if in the area!
