I went out to these trails expecting great things. All I got was trails that were rutted, muddy in areas where proper drainage would be crucial there, and really sandy. The parking lot side was an absolute mess and I can see why when the people who designed the trails fail to make them sustainable. Every time it rains, the trails become rivers, and they create holes, wash out features and even though the builders try to shore them up with sandbags, they get washed away and form sand traps in places where it'll slow down any momentum you had going down a hill. I didn't bother to go on the Games side because I figure it had the same issues. If the trail was taken care of better and made more sustainable, I think this would be an excellent place to ride. The roots pose a challenge, the drop offs are nice, and it's got nice elevation changes. For now, avoid at all costs until these...
Read moreSome good trails, some not so great. While I know I’m not a professional mountain bike rider, I’d consider myself decently experienced and can normally comfortably ride blue trails all day on any bike park I go to. These trails overall are mostly well kept and is great for a quick ride or a much longer one! Unfortunately there’s a few trails that definitely haven’t been worked on in a while with a ton of erosion where I had to walk my bike several times which got pretty frustrating. I believe it’s mostly (if not all) volunteers that maintain it though, so that being considered, it’s great! Just don’t go flying down the trails your first time cause you could hit a sticky situation...
Read moreThis is a scenic area to go hiking or biking. We went hiking, but the trails would be awesome for mountain bikers. We really liked the boardwalk nature trail by the main university campus. The Magnolia trees located there were the largest I have ever seen. One of the trails takes you to a lagoon area. The other trails provided an enjoyable green forest view with the sounds of nature. The birds and squirrels were fun to watch. I was amazed by the vast number of trails available for...
