Cliff Notes Version: Cute park. Paths were paved and well kept. The kids liked it. Very creative way to make dinosaurs from scrap metal. One time was enough to check it off the list.
Long version: We stopped by on our way to Oklahoma so the kids could see the dinosaurs. We have kids from ages 11-1. The park was closed when we got there as it's only open the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month(which we knew about ahead of time). The kids still wanted to look at it so we walked around the outside of the fence. The dinos were put together in really cool configurations of scrap metal from old vehicles. The park was tucked way back on the backside of town. There was a park to play at nearby and bathrooms. All-in-all fun to look at. Both raised in farm families we also grew up around and with the creator of the dinosaurs, Bob Doris. He and his wife and family are fine folks. Open ONLY 2nd SAT & 3rd SUN 1pm-4pm I wanted to like this park so much! 🫣 There’s cool metal dinosaurs 🦕, maybe information in front of them, but you can’t see the signs from behind the fence. It just seems a little strange that a tiny park would only be opened one weekend a month and only for 3 hours. Why not have it open to walk around until dusk? Just a bit disappointing for visitors...
