My school-aged daughter has been a regular student of Kristi Arzola's for nearly three years, in different formats including one-on-one lessons and group lessons, working on guided projects as well as attending open-studio time for assisted independent projects, and learning different techniques in graphite and colored pencil drawing, watercolor painting, and acrylic painting. Our whole family has also attended Kristi's acrylic paint events. Kristi is a talented instructor and lovely human being with whom I whole-heartedly trust to guide my child and her artistic interests. Our home and offices are filled with beautiful and even whimsical art produced by our daughter under Kristi's guidance. Read moreKristi is an amazing fine artist, especially with watercolors! She loves what she does and it definitely shows in her work and her love of teaching others.

Kristi is easy to work with and I would recommend her to anyone looking to buy or commission a...

It's much easier to draw to a specific point rather that trying to see the whole picture in your mind and replicate it onto your page. It defiantly slowed down my habit of constantly erasing and redrawing until I got it right. I was also learned shading and the blending of different levels of light and dark and how they are used to give a drawing life by highlighting boundaries with lite-to white against dark background. I highly recommend this class to new drawing students. It will open doors in your mind that you didn't...
