I've taken my dog for a few hikes around the waterfall. It's a very short hike without too many inclines. There are a couple of steeper ones at the beginning (for anyone with a bad knee). The path is really beautiful, but you also have the option of getting on the road if you're not feeling the terrain. The last time I hiked here my dog got crazy by the end of the hike--she really wanted to get to the car as fast as possible. Turns out a bear had left some paw prints in the soil near the path. Even though this trail is popular and very short, it's best to be careful and come prepared--especially those bringing children. This trail is, unsurprisingly, more popular in the summer, but also not super busy compared to some other hikes in the area. All in all a pretty good one if you're looking for something short, but with...

Update: 2 years later, this is still an amazing place to visit. A rainy winter day brings out a whole different energy.

The gem of the Dickerson Creek Waterfall Trailhead. At the end of a walk/relatively easy hike it’s always nice to have a payoff, and this waterfall hits the spot. It’s gorgeous, strong, and loud.

There’s even a log nearby you can sit on to soak in the experience. If you go further down, you’ll find other places to rest near the continuing stream.

I call this an easy hike/walk partly because it is very accessible: people had strollers, dogs, children, etc. If you’re out that way and looking for something to do in nice weather, it sets up...

Easy directions-To get to the main falls follow the main path all the way to the Culver. Once there hop on the road and walk up about 5 to ten minutes. There is a sign on the right for the falls....it's about a 10 min walk past that. It's beautiful, and worth the hike. Google clocked it as a half hour out. Take the same path back and you won't get lost. Little Warning- there is a bit of a hill for the first 10 to 15 minutes, but don't let that turn you away because it's pretty flat once up top. Great family hike, kids played in the water, so wear the appropriate...

Just outside Bremerton, Washington, you’ll find a hidden gem tucked inside Ueland Tree Farm — Dickerson Creek Falls. This two-tiered waterfall drops nearly 50 feet and is reached by an easy to moderate 2.3-mile round trip hike with about 295 feet of elevation gain. The trail winds through peaceful forest and opens up to a stunning view of the upper and lower cascades. Flow is strongest in the rainy months and spring, while summer often brings just a trickle. Dogs are welcome on leash, but there are no facilities, so be sure to pack out what you bring. Dickerson Creek Falls is a beautiful example of Kitsap County’s natural treasures — and one of the best hidden waterfalls near Bremerton. #waterfalls #waterfallhike #washingtonstate #hiddengem #washingtonhikes

Nice and pleasant walk - however some passages definitely not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. Ample parking space at the trailhead. Signs at the road actually lead towards Lebers Lane trailhead. Visit should take 1,5 to two hours of which 1 to 1,5 hours is net walking time. If you want to get there by public transport it is a 30 minute walk to the next bus stop. No public toilets, no garbage bins, no picknick tables - markings along the way non-existant. Still, the smell of the wood and the serenity of the place made the visit worthwhile - came across 10 persons in two hours.
