Wasn't sure if we were in the right place to begin with. We had actually left and went back and explored more and found the waterfall. There is no signage, we found it only because of the waterfall book that we have. It was pretty but you really couldn't get down to the bottom of it unless you bushwhacked your way down a steep embankment with no path. We saw it and we're ok if we don't go back. If we do it would be before the vegetation grew or after it died off. I expect it can be seen better from the road during those times.

Visited October, 2023, not marked and located on a very narrow and winding highway but it is a very pretty fall. Low water flow at this time of the year to be expected. Trail is no more than 50' to bottom but parts can be a bit steep.

Please see this area if you get the chance!! Very very winding roads so be safe while driving but so worth the travels!!! It's just gorgeous here in the mountains.

Big Creek Falls is a beautiful roadside waterfall along US-19W right across the state line from Tennessee. We made a quick stop while driving by. The waterfall is visible from the road or a short path leads down for a better view. There's a big rock in front of the falls for a straight on view or climb down to the base. The pool in front of the waterfall looks like an...

This was a nice place to stretch out during a great ride on highway 19. The road there is paved a has a pulloff spot for a couple of vehicles. The falls can be seen from the road but the best view is at the bottom. The trail dowb is steep, rocky and was sluppery from the rain but manageable. The view was worth the effort. There was a swing rope but I don't think I...
