ZXQ Vineyards and Winery — Attraction in Escondido

Bring your dog! Friday night fun! Oh my wine! What a treat it was to talk with Melanie and learn about all of the wonderful reds. We are huge Cab Franc fans and can't believe this place is almost in our backyard. Not at all planned but we signed up for a membership, love that the pick up dates are off set from most wineries. The Rose Franc is so cool, very different from a normal rose. Loved the On Belay 2017 blend and I don't like blends, say what?!? Highland Valley needed Big Reds (good ones) and this is the place! Great Wine! This is not your upscale fancy vineyard, winery. Well worth the stop. Parking might get tight, but an awesome time. I belive it was the owner that came out from the back and wanted to know if we had any questions. The woman behind the bar was also great. This is a great 1st time place for beginners. We finally made it out to ZXQ Vineyards! I was impressed! I am a BIG red wine lover, with Cab Franc being my absolute favorite. I was able to do a vertical tasting with 3 different vintages of their Cab Franc, from 2015 - 2017, which was a fun and unique experience! Olena, was so welcoming, and very sweet. Looking forward to visiting again, and trying a few of their red blends as well.
