Clearly defined trail, love the variety--lake, forrest and field. A bit wet in the lower shaded areas due to recent rains, but fine if you have appropriate footwear. Some folks fishing, some hiking, not too crowded on a weekday afternoon.

Another VT gem. I was the only boat/kayak out mid-week, but quite a few hikers, walkers, etc. No motors. Good bass and pike fishing. Ospreys, herons and loons (one loon came within 10 ft., curious I guess). Beautiful.

Took Grandson. Very nice and quiet place when we went on Sunday. Clean got some seaweed just wear water shoes when you go. It's got some rocks and they hurt the feet.

It’s a beautiful place to hike, would recommend going every time of year except spring. That’s mostly because of the mud and pollen so if you can deal with that then spring would work too.

It’s got shade spots and sunny spots. Lots of fish swim around everywhere and it’s amazing because each stopping spot feels private, mostly clean too.

The only thing that could be cause for concern is the amount of algae covered rocks in some areas or the water becoming murky after a step. So if that bothers you simple solution, wear...

Great moderate level path. Good for canoe or kayak. Parking limits people which is great. Not a recommendation if stairs or incline paths not your style. Dog friendly, fishing, benches, and cute bridge... If you are lucky you will find the rope swing at the...

Google maps will try to give you incorrect directions so beware. Great place to kayak and walk. There are kayak trolleys to help bring the kayaks up and down the hill which is nice. The walking is nice although it can be muddy and there are lots of...
