This place is located inside the Rocky mountains national park. This is the first station when you go through highway 34 entrance. You can see the perfect view from this place. You can see the mountains and this place is good to take pictures. We were going to visit Rocky mountain in this vacation. We loved this place. You need to stop by this place. I swear you won't regret.

Great spot for wildlife viewing. There's a coyote den on the other side of the meadow, and the Wyoming Ground Squirrels (small prairie dogs-like) love to play just next to the parking. Elk and moose pass by often, didn't see bighorn sheep which supposedly come by later in the season. A small black bear was sleeping on the north hillside.

Great spot to see some wild life. Seems to be becoming a hot spot for wildlife. I keep hearing on a regular basis of moose sighting. I happened to see some last year when I was out there. The wild life love coming down there and drinking the water and succulling on the mud for the mineral content.

Great place to ask a question (general prk info as well as Bighorn sleep-related), pick up a Jr Ranger book, have a staff member review your Jr Ranger's finished book and administer the pledge. The kiosk is staffed 9 - 4:30 from mid-May through mid-August. This coincided with the time frame when visitors to the area are most likely to see Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep. (Please observe sheep from the parking lot or designated gravel parking areas.) There is a ranger-led program related to the biology of bighorn sheep each morning when the kiosk is staffed. Exhibits like a Bighorn pelt, skull, hoof, and horns are available, so...

Great volunteers here that shared the information we needed. We were hoping to see the bighorn sheep. We appreciated the information shared and the friendly conversation. Unfortunately, the sheep have not been here for the last 10 days and they stop coming in August. It is unlikely they will be back this year. Would have loved to see the sheep but was glad to learn we were a little late to see them this year. They get five starts for the thorough and friendly sharing...
