Tundra Communities Trailhead offers more stunning views of the surrounding mountain peaks and contains a relatively easy trail that winds through the seemingly barren tundra and leads to a few striking rock formations (some of them are called the mushroom rocks as they loosely resemble mushrooms emerging from the ground). This is another ideal spot to keep your eye open for pikas and yellow-bellied marmots, because they’re almost everywhere in this high-altitude habitat. Just recently, I sat on a set of rocks at the end of the trailhead for about twenty or thirty minutes (maybe more than that) watching a couple of young marmots frolic around like playful puppies. Do this hike if you can! Its such a cool experience. The trail is very nice and well maintained. Theres many little informative plaques you can read while catchingg uour breath hahha. Magical, stunning and what not!! Must take a stop, paved trail, small but lovely hike (be careful if you have altitude sickness). At the top of rocks (at the end of trail) it was windy and cold but was such a wonderful place which can't be expressed in words. You can read info while walking on trail related to tundra, bugs and animals here. We saw a bighorn sheep, marmots and rainbow (if you wanna see double rainbow moment pls visit my YT channel-The Humbling Experience). Enjoy the trail till the end and up on the rock,...
