There are 13 Arkansas visitor centers in the state. This is the second one that we visited.

These visitor centers are packed full of great information, and the people working behind the desk are so helpful. Great information on the influence Jazz and Blues music had on this area.

This particular center is situated directly on Lake Chicot. It is a beautiful stop just to see the grounds and the lake.

We found out something today that we were not aware of; You are allowed to overnight in any of the Arkansas Visitor Center if you have a camper. Tent camping...

A historic settlement sits lakeside. Prevalantly the water line has subsided leaving this once bustling area, without curated water access. The pictures of the dock's highlight the significance of the disproportiante water level.

(Author Note) "Water is a crisis being secretly carried out behind curtains of Political influence, garnering ambitions of making water a commodity. Should water become an ambiguouslly traded good, than so shall you pay a tax for breathing because we can define that as air. " ~tdt 2024

We had no wifi service When we were traveling from Al. To MO. We stopped in to the welcome center. There was a wedding happening at the same time. It was a beautiful place over looking the water on any occasion. The ladies working were very pleasant and helpful. They printed us a map of exactly were we were heading. They had even mentioned where we"d possibly come across speed traps. I left feeling cooled off and confident. Im very grateful for the Lake Village welcome center and the wonderful people...

Very clean and well maintained. It’s the first time I’ve stopped at a rest center and been the only one in the parking lot. When I woke from my rest it was getting light. I didn’t even know I was on a water front when I pulled in. The walk ways and benches/tables on the river side are amazing. They are high giving a great view. Clean rest rooms. No other services were available yet as still to early. It was a relaxing and refreshing stop. I even found a “Rock for Alec” left on a table.
