We reserved an efficiency cabin a month ago to save money. It was bare bones, adequate for our basic needs, clean and comfortable.

We had two double beds. They were comfortable, but too small for the two of us. The second night was better since we each had our own bed. The bathroom was small, and clean, with fluffy towels and every thing we needed - including plenty of hot water. The plastic mat in the tub kept me from slipping, and appreciative of bath mat & fan. Medicine cabinet with two mirrors was also appreciated.

The flat screen television had plenty of channels. Unfortunately we kept losing the signal for the channels we liked (NBC was stuck on a dishwasher and CBS was stuck on a weather map one night & the CarFax Fox the next day). Husband was thankful that he could watch the Yankees/Blue Jays games 10/7/25 without incident. The second night we had absolutely no problems. Nice!

The loveseat was comfortable to sit in to read and watch TV. The kitchen had everything we needed - working stove, coffee maker, microwave, full size fridge with freezer, sink and cabinets & drawers with everything we needed for meal prep & eating.

We loved walking down to the marina to see the sunsets and lily pads. The weather was perfect. We did see some stars, but the Super Moon was so bright that we couldn't see more.

The employees were friendly and helpful. Anthony helped us check in after hours. We did not realize that we needed to arrive before 5. We arrived at 5:30. He accompanied us to our cabin to be sure our entry code worked. It did! He was wonderful!! The next day Toya gave us our hang tag for the car and receipt for our stay. She was kind and patient.

When we checked out, Anthony was with Toya at the visitor center. He helped us get ice from the ice machine outside. He started our stay here on a positive note, and ended our visit here on a positive note! He is one of the reasons we really enjoyed our stay here. Next time we'll bring friends. Then we can upgrade to the two bedroom cabin! We really hope Anthony...

Definitely not a place for tent camping.

The stakes for the tent barely went an inch in The ground without hitting a rock or left over pavement. We were really excited about staying here because the reviews were great and the pictures online looked beautiful. When we pulled in, it was nothing like the pictures, we felt catfished. The internet was deceiving. On top of not being thrilled about the campground we woke up at 4:30 am to one of the camp hosts yelling to us that a tornado was coming through and we should get in our car. Weather can change in the matter of minutes so that didn’t not bother me. What bothered me is when I opened the tent we were in a puddle of water. The only thing keeping us afloat and not soaked was our air mattress. Did know we signed up for waterfront… We ended up going to the bath house to take shelter. We found the camp hosts there making sure everyone was okay. They were an amazing couple and made the campground so much more enjoyable.

After the sun came up and the rain stopped we decided that we would not be staying another night here in these awful conditions. Heavy rain was on the radar again for the coming night. We were absolutely miserable. To get out of our reservation for the night and just get out of that nothing town was awful. They didn’t want to give us a refund or anything until I had to demand it. They just wanted to move us to a different campsite. Our gear was SOAKED so we would have been sleeping in the car. We can do that for free in a Walmart parking lot and it would of felt the exact same as staying there. We packed all our gear in heft bags that filled the back of my car.

We will NEVER be camping here again and I will NEVER recommend it to anyone. Don’t always trust what you see on...

We rented an efficiency cottage, near the lake. One of the first ones. The first thing we noticed when we opened that door was the terrible smell that cottage has! It’s smelled like food/old stuff/ I don’t know what more… we had to open the windows an run the A/C unit, which is a very old unit as well and the air that comes out of that stinks too. The cottage is super tiny, both beds are really small. I wouldn’t say you can fit 4 adults comfortably in there. We had an extra inflatable mato for one person but I had to share bed with my husband and we didn’t have a good night sleep. We rented 3 nights and 4 days.. we cut our stay short and left next day so we only stayed one night. It’s pet friendly and we were charged $50 for the whole stay for the dog, which I think is good. There’s a gate that close the park at 10 PM and you’ll need a code to come in. We loved that. There is no WI/FI in the cottages. The celular reception is terrible. Our phones were changing from GA time to AL time and that was very annoying and confusing for us, we felt like the time wasn’t passing at all. We could use the TV. The cottage appeared clean, the kitchen was well stocked with all you need to cook. We used the oven, microwave and fridge. I didn’t use the coffee maker but there is one available. Bring your own dish soap and scrub, coffee and sugar. We couldn’t really walk or enjoy the trails, or do our Grill because unfortunately for us it was raining. There is a gift shop and that one looks really nice. The staff is very nice and helpful and there customers service is awesome. I saw that you can rent a Boat, and also there’s some fishing permites if you have a license. There is also RV camp and tent camp, playgrounds and tons of...
