So many things that I love about the New Hope Christian College and New Hope West Ohana! From the first moments of being warmly greeted, you have the distinct sense of acceptance, welcome, belonging, and that you have finally found “home”. The worship experience here is one that can elevate and enliven your spirit because of the joyous and encouraging leadership of the worship teams. Another aspect that I so appreciate is the excellence of all who are in places of leadership and presentation…always striving to bring our best worship to the Lord Himself, our “audience of One”. And perhaps the most vibrant part of the NHCC experience is the fact that we have a VERY multigenerational body of committed believers, from the youngest in the family, to young adults and college students, and all the way through octogenarians! If you’re looking for a Christian College or your own church family, YOU may well find it here, also!

Does a great job of building leaders for the church. I graduate next week, and I have definitely developed countless skills, gained incredible esperiences, and grew in my understanding of the Bible and my faith. The school definitely has changed over the years, especially after leadership changes and COVID. The school is currently a small and specialized school. This really appealed to me, and I knew I wanted to attend NHCC because of the close interactions between the staff and the students that allow for true community and discipleship. The photos attached are a testimony of what takes place on campus. Not only do they paint the picture of what happens here at NHCC, but they show my growth as an individual. Photography was one of the many skills that I gained attending NHCC. Students here are truly trained to be well-rounded and well-developed in many areas.

Prior to moving to California, I attended New Hope West, the lab church for New Hope Christian College. I miss it! I’ve never been to a church where everything is done with such excellence! New Hope West has the benefit of having so many NHCC interns; the college and the church have a symbiotic relationship and although the church benefits, it’s also benefiting so many young students who are going to go off into the world to continue to spread the Gospel!

As a Senior who is about to graduate in the spring of 2023, I can say that I have loved my time here at New Hope Christian College (2019-2022).

There have been a number of changes from my freshman year to now, all which have been a positive shift toward the vision of the college. From dealing with issues of the Covid-19 pandemic to planting an on-campus church, it has been a very challenging but rewarding experience. Through the many challenges and obstacles throughout the years I have been here, the faculty and staff were able to provide sound guidance and strong leadership to help alleviate the pressure, overcome issues, and thrive in the midst of difficulties.

While the education and content is excellent, what really stands out is the amount of care the leadership has for the students here. The leadership and staff are intentional about connecting and building relationships with the students. They truly care about our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, and it has impacted my experience here greatly. The amount of hands on ministry experience that is provided here is unlike anywhere else. There are so many opportunities to get involved, serve, and lead in various areas. I was able to take the things I've learned and am currently learning, and practically apply it to the ministries I am involved in, and for that reason, I feel well equipped, prepared, and confident in regard to my future in ministry.

Overall, I am grateful and thankful for New Hope Christian College and the experience I have gained here. I found my calling, was able to understand my purpose, and discovered my identity, and I couldn't have imagined anything better. The things I have learned here have shaped me into the leader that I am today. I recommend this school to anyone who is looking to develop their faith or find their calling, and especially to those looking to do full-time ministry or are seeking to be involved in ministry. The experience you will get here is phenomenal, and is unlike anything or anywhere else.

I thank God for my time here, and look forward to what the future...

As I reflect on my time spent here (2015-2018), a few things come to mind.

I was able to learn a lot more about my faith and developed a lot as a person and a follower of Christ. The campus is beautiful and at a good spot in town. The best asset that this school has to offer is their teachers by far. I had some great coaches in basketball and golf who were always there to help me develop as more than just an athlete and were always patient with me, even when I did not make it easy for them to do so. I was also blessed to have great professors who knew what they were talking about.

That being said, I understand the negative reviews from former students. Being a transfer student who didn't show up until my junior year, I felt left out of the student body to an extent. It's like everyone had their groups established since freshman year, and I was late to the party. I've also had a lot of encounters with self-righteous and overall very flawed individuals during my time here. But that's alright, I didn't expect every student to be perfect and didn't let it bother me too much, and I wish them all the best wherever they are in life.

Overall, this school is far from perfect. Everyone who's been there for more than a semester knows that. But it was the place God wanted me to go to for reasons I didn't see until my time as a student there was nearly over, so I have no regrets coming here. If this is the place God has on your heart to go to, go for it. Go with the expectation that God is going to use this place to develop you for as long as He wants you to be there, and keep your eyes and heart open for the opportunities He will...

I recently graduated from New Hope Christian College and I am eternally grateful for the opportunity I had to learn and grow as a student and follower of Christ. It's amazing to see the things that happen and how your life can be so different when follow the call that God has given you and you move in faith. I'll be honest, I didn't think that I would go to bible college in Eugene, Oregon of all places (being from Hawaii). Yet, as I look back on my years at NHCC, the things I've learned, refined, and person I have become reflect an institution that is committed to raising up Christian leaders and ambassadors.

At New Hope, the faculty and staff have such a deep love for God and for his people, which made my time here so special. Not only was I able to learn about God from the great books and curriculum, but I was sincerely encouraged in my faith through the stories and testimonies of the faculty and staff.

If you're looking for a bible college that goes beyond just teaching you doctrine and theology, New Hope is the answer! This not just a place of higher learning, but a place to step into your calling and a stepping stone to becoming the person that God has...
