Gist: Best alpine lake in Glacier NP.
This is one a remote, hard to access, but utterly rewarding lake once you get there...somehow. The road leading to lake is slow, rough, broken, twisty and extremely narrow in some sections. If there is an oncoming vehicle. one of you has to retreat in the bushes. Even for a single vehicle if you are not careful the bushes will leave micro scratches all over - like it did on mine. Also word of caution - sudden dips and bumps. Make sure the vehicle you are driving isn't dilapidated.
With that out of our way, here is the best part: the lake is absolutely spectacular. I am not hesitant calling it the best alpine lake in the area. If you are lucky and there is a high chance of that, there won't be any people leaving the whole are to yourself. The experience is incredible. Campsite is great too if you decide to stay. Little dull but okay. Limited parking but I don't suppose this remote of a campsite will ever be bursting with people.
