Newaygo County Sports Park — Attraction in Everett Township

The Newaygo Sports Park has the best sledding hill I've ever been to. It's a former ski hill, so it's a long run down, with plenty of space to slow down at the bottom. It's a straight run, with raised sides, so you don't get a lot of collisions or fall offs. There's even a return trail that means you don't have to walk up the hill that everyone's sledding down - that said, kids frequently will walk up the hill, but they're safe if you tell them to stick to the raised edges. We had a really good time sledding here. It was really busy early in the afternoon but after about four it quieted down. There is a portage I'm here if you need one.
