Love this place. 🌺 Some of the finest nature/wildlife photography you will experience in this region.🕸 Look forward to every visit. Fill a back pack ( I call them ditch bags) with camera, bug spray, spending money is a given. Great food, drinks, clothing, a little something for everyone. Treats for kids. Sweet😉 My favorite thing is to do is the private airboat charter. It’s more personal, longer time wandering places you otherwise would never see. Don’t forget glasses, light, long sleeve top preferably, never know the experience you’ll have. Captains are great, full of knowledge so no worries if you run into any obstacles. There’s nothing a call can’t take care of. The floating islands are like walking on a cozy sponge. Very cool. Just be mindful of wildlife. Lots of butterfly’s, banana or yellow spiders. There webs are very sticky. There beautiful to photo as well. The early morning dew on the web is so pretty. Please be nice, tip your Captian. They’ll give you a experience you’ll never forget. Awesome place! Tons of wildlife! A great escape from concrete, steel and noise.

The ranger station has maps for driving and walking and they can also recommend things to see and do.

If you are looking to explore native Florida, this is a great place to start. This was our first trip to the Everglades area and I was determined to see Cypress trees. I was not disappointed. This is really a stunning area in the winter season.

There are many places to rent kayaks or canoes and paddle about at your leisure exploring. It's like Jurassic world in there!

It makes coming back to civilization a let down.

And if you want to see Gators, this is the place! Right off if the HP Williams roadside park boardwalk, we saw six gators, numerous anhingas, herons and a snake. It was awesome - except for the snake.

This was the he highlight of our trip. If you enjoy the great outdoors, you will love this. It is wonderful and I can't give it enough stars.
