Excalibur Family Fun Center — Attraction in Louisiana

Saw Si there and thought we would take our kids to see it. Left very disappointed. First the machines have money signs but you have to use tokens. Went to the food counter to ask for change to get tokens, and the woman behind the counter made it out that it was a huge deal to change quarters for us. Some of the machines were not working, and they were in the process of fixing them, but left the parts and drill lying around for the kids to trip over and touch. The foam pit had foam blocks that we well used, and there were bits of foam all over the pit. Ended up taking the youngest child out as she just wanted to eat them all! The climbing toy says that it is for kids less than 4 feet tall, but for them to climb up they needed to be this tall! The pads etc. were dirty and I question when they were last cleaned. Food staff was making pizza without food gloves on, so did not buy any food. However, the chili on the hot dog that the person bought did not look appealing. The games and the enjoyment that my daughter and niece had was super!!! I would easily give this place 5 stars but the ONLY problem I have is when the children are getting ready to check out their tickets for gifts, I feel as if they need to hire more enthusiastic and willing to help the kids employees to work that area. Because if you don't love your job and every color person in the world, especially if we all spend money like everyone else, it's time to move on. Now, there was one young lady and a gentleman working the prize area by the door so unfortunately my kids ended up checking out with the guy. He was rude and non chalant and spoke very rudely so I had to walk up to stand behind them. He then tried to pick up his attitude but he still was however nasty. Now, if they fix employees like these that will be perfectly fine but this type of service will make you feel unwanted especially if you spend over $250 in games,etc. So hats off for the fun of the games but thumbs down to rude employees. If I were not there for a birthday party I'd been so upset! First nearly every other machine is either gonna take your tokens or not give you tickets. There are only 4 ticket counters one got jammed which equalled long lines in both that and the prize line. Waited 10 minutes when first got there for someone to come help with machine that took 5 tokens while waiting other machine did the same. Noone ever came within next few minutes realized there was nopoint in waiting seeing how it was every other machine. Later son caught guy to refill tickets qn another machine just took money so started telling him all machines that done it. Was looking at me as if in disbelief. Than asked how many tokens and than hesitated so I told him nevermind we were about to go anyway. He rudely turned around walked away without a word. Place seems to be ran by teens. Noone beside door don't feel comfortable letting kids roam. Restrooms toilet seat was broken laying on floor. Never plan to return don't understand how they are in business the games that did work lasted like 15...
