I'll give 100 dollars to anyone who can find this place in 2018 without some inside knowledge. Really just wanted to access the river trail from the park and hike up the mountain. GPS will take you via E Neversink, ok well the bridge is closed. No signs on how to get to the park on the other side. Alright, looks like the river trail has an entrance off Gibralter anyhow. Oh guess what, Gibralter is closed too. Alright, so back on freaking 422 then 724 all the way around the back to Gibralter. Oh, they have Gibralter closed on the back side too, way before the trail entrance. Hmm...lets look at the map again. Looks like W Neversink takes you to the park. Back on freaking 422, all the way up and around W Neversink and finally find this park. Hmm it's deserted, shame cause it seems like a nice complex it's not like it's hard to reach or anything. Alrighty, trail entrance should just be across the field...oh hey, bridge from the park to the trail is out too. Hmm...maybe this kid working the fields knows anything about how to get to this freaking trail. The yard waste dump?Interesting...drive back up a ways to the compost dump...wow, a sign for the trail I don't believe it. But where is it? I guess I just park out here behind the gate? Well lets dilly dally around to the back of the compost dump and hope it's there...oh hey here's...
Read moreIt's a very huge complex has a lot of fields lots of parking but it is closed due to covid. I had to use the bathroom but of course they were locked but there was a portable outhouse there. There was no one around so my friend and I fooled around a little bit there too but I don't recommend doing that as you never know when the police or someone else...
