I went last week with friends, and we got there around 10am on a Saturday and the parking area was already packed. As you’re approaching it, you need to drive slow because the road is so narrow to the point that one car cannot leave while another one is trying to come in. Luckily when I got there, there wasn’t any cars trying to leave. I was also lucky enough to get the last available spot to park. The hard part about the hiking trail was crossing over the stream since the ladder with wooden planks that was used as a bridge was broken. We had to walk over slippery rocks and almost fell a few times. The hike wasn’t too hard, but what made it feel that way was that it was super hot outside. There’s lots of trees, but once you get to certain areas, there’s no trees over the path to provide shade. I would recommend going early in the morning to be able to find parking and to...

Kind of rugged and good if you want a good workout because of all the inclines but it does level out and there is a lot of different trails so it's kind of confusing. For a little bit there I thought I was lost but I just kept going in a loop because I remembered in a review somebody said that it's kind of a big loop and I did find my way back to the parking lot. Would be nicer if there were signs along the way to keep you pointed in the right direction back to the parking lot. I almost took my dog and I'm glad I didn't because he hasn't been treated for ticks. When I got home I had a tick on me. So if you're going to take your dog I advise getting them treated for ticks first. I wouldn't take my grandsons because I think it's a little too rugged for them, they're...

I don't get what the big deal is with this place. Going off the reviews from some of the influencers I follow, I thought this would be a really great hiking area. Typical that influencers make places seem better than they are! It was very cold. We saw a bunch of wild horses that escaped their pen which was terrifying!! The first parking lot we went to was packed and the policeman told us to go to a different parking lot where there was still too many cars. Waterfalls everyone claims are great, were more like a trickle falls. I don't know why this place doesn't have an EV...

We parked by the BLM gate on Skyline road south of this map location. We opened the gate and walked up the road. It was challenging! Walking up hills isn't easy! I can say it was quiet, peaceful, beautiful with cattle and horses. As you follow the creek you'll see small waterfalls. We went in about 3 miles where you can see a waterfall off in the distance and turned around. 6 miles was more than plenty for me

Great time of year to explore this free public land! There's a network of trails that interweave so there are lots of opportunities to find your own slice of paradise, whether it be next to a waterfall or a wildflower covered hill! Limited parking at trailhead, no restrooms, dogs are allowed.
