Hubbard's Corey Lake Orchards — Attraction in Fabius Township

Such a charming, local place! The Farmer’s Market is the cutest atmosphere, string lights, tables on the porch to enjoy coffee and a donut, and beautiful, fresh, local produce. There was also a “flower lady” on the day of our visit, with beautiful bouquets of wild flowers, topiaries, and succulents at amazing prices.

In good conscious, it did not feel right giving the orchard full stars because of the very rude and short service by most of the staff. For example, one staff member was very short and seemed annoyed when we asked for directions to their u-pick blueberries off site. The check out lady seemed annoyed by the amount of produce we were purchasing and the owner was very annoyed and acted inconvenienced to answer a question of ours in regards to her provide. In addition, even the young girl at the bakery counter seemed impatient as our toddler was quickly choosing his selection, though there was no line and he did so in a timely manor.

We were so surprised and disappointed by the amount of employees who were so off-putting, we wondered if something had happened, if they were stressed due to a festival the next day, or if the service is always so unprofessional. In all honesty, it was such a unique and charming market that we’ll plan to give it one more try but I hope that the staff is normally in much better humor, as it was distracting to enjoy such a beautiful place with such...

I just want to start by saying we did have a very nice time at the farm today. My boys picked out some beautiful pumpkins to take home and we had a delicious chocolate muffin while playing on the playground. BUT we came for apple U-pick & donuts…only to find out they have this available ONLY Saturday and Sunday. I checked the website a couple of times BEFORE we left to make sure we were prepared for our U-pick adventure and never saw anything in regards to the U-pick not being available today (Thursday). Once we got home, I checked again because I just wanted to make sure I didn’t miss it. Sure enough, there it was…buried in the website that U-pick is only available Saturday and Sunday. We were bummed! You have to really read the fine print to find this information. If I were you guys I’d put at the top of your website pertinent information for the season so everyone can clearly see what’s available before traveling. I have lived 10 minutes from this fantastic establishment my whole life, yet today was my first time visiting. I was not disappointed and neither was my family. The apple orchard was phenomenal, well organized, and the employees were super courteous. After we finished there we ventured down to their market and grabbed up some of their homemade donuts and cider, took pictures. They have Wines, Beers, meats, produce, pumpkin's and much much more. Our kids are between 16 & 22 but children of all ages would love it here without a doubt. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner Beth, and that was awesome as well. After talking with Beth for several minutes I can easily understand why this place has got it going on, they certainly know how to make people feel welcome.
