It was really confusing. There was a map at the beginning and that was about it.
There are areas of rocks all throughout but we weren't sure where the designated fossil area was?? I kept looking for a sign like the one I saw on here but never found anything like it.
Paths were not clear. There was a port o potty! No TP tho.
Idk. I expected more.
Do not take kids for fossil hunting if you've never been and don't know exactly where to go. My kids hated it! I found a few but the kids really killed any enjoyment with all the whining. I noticed there were at least two other families with the same issue so I'm glad it wasn't just us.
I'll be back but the kids will stay at home. And we will go when it's not hot as you know what (there's very little shade anywhere).

Read moreThis was an okay place to hike. The trails were not cut back so there were branches and spiderwebs in a lot of places on the perimeter loop. The quarry was nice to wander around. There is graffiti on a lot of rocks but not a lot of garbage. My young son enjoyed throwing rocks into one of the ponds but the water didn't look too clean around the edge so I didn't want him to wade in it. I'm glad I went to see the park but I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon since there are so many other nice parks in the area with much better...
