unfortunately the theatre was not open due to needed repairs, but i was able to visit the exhibit next door. fairfax was a wonderful town to visit and learning about the deep history and strong community is something i will always remember! i hope to see the tall chief restored someday and that many more people learn the story of what happened here.

My daughter has loved Maria Tallchief since she was a little girl, so it was a special treat to take her to the Tallchief theater. I hope they do restore it some day.
