Rocky Top Falls — Attraction in Fairfield Bay

Rocky Top Falls provided us with an unforgettable experience for our special day! The stunning views from the venue were absolutely breathtaking, adding a perfect touch to our wedding. The hosts, Rachel and Miguel, were not only friendly, but they were also very accommodating, ensuring that everything ran smoothly. Communication with them was a breeze, making the planning process much easier for us. The venue itself was fully equipped, which helped alleviate any last-minute stress or concerns we might have had. The table was able to accommodate all of our guests and there were plenty of bedrooms for everyone to rest comfortably.

We appreciated the attention to detail from Rocky Top Falls, as they made sure every aspect of our wedding was taken care of. The only minor issue I would encourage wedding prospects to be wary of is that on a summer weekend there is the potential of boaters on the lake who are enjoying their music at a loud volume to be present nearby. This did happen during our small ceremony, however I found the pop music echoing across the water helped calm my nerves and put a sense of playfulness in the crowd, although some of our guests were slightly uncomfortable with the lyrics. These neutral aspects did not detract from the overall joy and beauty of our celebration, and this is something that is beyond the control of the hosts and is not a fault of the property. It is simply a small moment of give and take, as all walks of life enjoy the beauty of the lake.

To briefly recap our story, we had discussed in December of 2023 that we wished to elope in 2024. As we spoke to our parents about this after our April 2024 engagement, they expressed their desire to be present for the ceremony. As a result, we opted to honor their wishes while still keeping the guests limited to immediate family to maintain the private, intimate wedding we’d hoped for. I began the search for an AirBnB that could accommodate our families and also had a pleasant view for a wedding on the property. It was almost instantly that Rocky Top Falls appeared as a search result. It not only checked all of our boxes but also has a designated area FOR weddings! I messaged the hosts (Rachel and Miguel) immediately and told them about our vision and dream wedding. They replied quickly and were able to point us in the right direction every step of the way. From suggesting photographers and hair/makeup artists to putting us in touch with our officiant, Rachel’s father. We came to the property in May 2024 and took a tour of the venue and trails. We returned in August 2024  for our 2 nights stay and wedding. It was everything we could have asked for!

Overall, we highly recommend Rocky Top Falls for anyone looking for a picturesque and well-equipped venue with friendly and accommodating hosts. Our wedding day was made even more special by the beautiful surroundings and the support of the team at Rocky Top Falls. Rocky Top Falls – A Dream Wedding Venue ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (10/10)

We got married at Rocky Top Falls over Labor Day Weekend 2025, and I truly cannot say enough good things about this venue. Everything was absolutely perfect. The views are simply breathtaking. Greers Ferry Lake is the stunning backdrop of the outdoor ceremony spot and being able to see Sugarloaf Mountain - where we got engaged - made it all the more meaningful. We took family photos the day before the wedding at the on-site waterfall. It felt like every corner of the property offered a perfect photo op.

The layout and flow of the venue stood out. The Skylight Room, a converted garage, was one of our favorite features— beautifully bringing the he outdoors in when the door is raised. This room includes two bathrooms, making it super convenient for guests. Drink coolers, an 12’ bar and an abundance of tables and chairs are provided. There is plenty of space to arrange inside and out for the reception or cocktail hour. The bench seating for the ceremony is beautifully constructed and arranged so there are no bad seats for guests.

The house has been tastefully and elegantly renovated. The basement area was perfect for the kids with its built-in bunks and access via ladder.

The owners and staff were incredibly helpful, even offering help with setup and takedown. Although we didn’t use the venue’s coordinator due to our last-minute planning, we saw her work firsthand, and it's clear she would be an amazing asset for any couple looking for a “one stop shop” experience.

There is so much that I want to say about RTF! This venue is BEAUTIFUL! The stars at night under the hanging lights with the water in the background, it’s so peaceful and quiet!

The owners, Miguel and Rachel, and venue coordinator Grace, are all amazing people and so kind! We booked this venue over a year and a half ahead of our date and ever since the first time we chatted with them they were so responsive, answered all our questions. The venue literally has everything on site! Tables, chairs, projector (if you are huge football people like we are) outdoor kitchen with food warmers, restaurant size fridge, ice maker, and even outdoor bathrooms for your guests!

The house holds 14 guests and the rooms are huge! So much storage space, all the kids activities you can think of. Every window you look out, there are spectacular views day and night! They have recently redone the skylight garage which imo adds so much more value to the venue! If it’s too cold or the weather isn’t cooperative, there is enough space in there for your whole party to hang out, out of the elements!

The bridal suite has sooo much beautiful natural light for those getting ready photos but is secluded enough that your groom won’t see you before your big moment!

Over all I would give his venue 1 million stars if I could! Our wedding day was over the top amazing and I will forever be grateful to have found RTF!! We will be back to visit very soon!
