Our school went on a manned field trip here. They decided to allow a huge group of homeschoolers to join ours which we thought was great. The Woman in charge was very rude from the beginning. It was very disorganized. And when we tried to keep our group organized she became even more rude towards our group. She handled it so poorly treating our kids and volunteers as an inconvenience. We decided to split our groups into three as there were to many kids and agreed with the other groups to split theirs into small groups also. The woman in charge was upset and yelled again at our volunteers for not helping the other groups. And yelled at our helpers in front of all the students. She then yelled at me and decided to grab my arm and yell at me. I proceeded to let her know I was not ok with her touching me, or with her trying to pull me away from my group. Her disrespect towards our school was unbelievable. The place was very disorganized, and if a school makes a field trip I do think they should have handled the double booking more appropriately than they did. As for the gentleman that was there, he did a great job!! He was very in character, very nice but unfortunately was unable to help he was teaching the kids. I will never recommend this place after such a horrible hostile experience. Please note the other groups that were with us were great and everyone was easy. But the leader of this place was upset that our class/group wanted to stay with our kids that we volunteered to help. And refused to let the other groups help...

When we paid for our pass ($10/family), they gave my kids junior ranger booklets, which they really enjoyed. Everything is self-guided, but there are lots of signs and displays explaining what the different rooms and items are. The person who runs the office has to step out (understandably) as they work, so you just have to hang out for a few minutes to catch them. 😁 There are also lots of snacks available to purchase in the little gift shop area, and the restrooms are really nice and clean. There's plenty of...
Read moreWe had just gotten back from a Southern Utah road trip. We visited 9 state parks, with some of our highlights being Fremont Indian, Territorial statehouse, and Frontier homestead. Only living 15 minutes away from Camp Floyd, we jumped on the opportunity to see another state park.
As we pulled in, we were greeted by Ranger Greg getting ready to start a tour with another couple. We tagged along and received an amazing tour of the place. So much history and knowledge, thanks, Ranger Greg! Don't hesitate to stop here! I'm hoping to join in on one of the campfire programs they...
