In preperation for my daughters wedding last year, I came in and met the couple, picked up flowers to create samples for the wedding partys flowers. The date was established and agreed upon, flowers were selected, text messages sent for confirmation, and the day before the wedding, I was ignored, shop was closed. I understand it was not a large order (which seemed to be of concern for the owner based on her questions), and they literally left me hanging at such an important time and event for my family.
I was both appalled and saddened at the disregard for a business to do this to a new customer. Even thought my order was "small" in comparison to what they are used to.
Thankfully, Trader Joes had beautiful flowers and I was able to complete the flowers in time (had to pivot and change the entire design and a added time waste to an already fully booked schedule), but this was not the initial plan. Sorry that I did not have the same experience as I reasearched before coming.
The wedding was October 14th, of 2022 and all of our communication was via phone, and text messaging, not email.
