Jennings Beach is honestly one of those hidden gems you don’t hear much about but end up loving once you’re there. I went recently and stayed until nighttime—and I got lucky enough to witness fireworks by the beach. The atmosphere was calm, families were enjoying themselves, and the whole place had a peaceful, welcoming vibe.
The sand was clean, and the shore stretched wide enough that it didn’t feel crowded at all. I found a perfect spot to sit and relax without being bothered by too many people, which is a big plus for me. Watching the sunset transition into fireworks over the water made the experience unforgettable.
There’s also something really special about how quiet and safe the area feels, even at night. I noticed a lot of families and kids playing freely, which gave the place a very community-friendly energy. It’s rare to find beaches that are both clean and feel secure in the evening hours.
If you’re planning a peaceful day out or want to surprise someone with a simple yet memorable experience, Jennings Beach is a top choice. Bring a blanket, grab your favorite snacks, and just enjoy the view.

Read morePlease be advised that parking at this beach will cost you $20 during the week with the expectation of holidays and weekends where you will be asked to pay $50 ridiculous dollars. The beach facilities were clean so I have no complaints about that. They also have grills and picnic tables which is also cool if you are having a outing with your family. Here are my complaints and why I only gave it a 2 star. You can’t play ball or have boogie boards in the water. You can play ball outside the water only. This life guard was talking a lot with his coworker about life guard stories including a story of cocaine being washing up the shore. I been to many beaches in my lifetime and I’ll tell you this beach wasn’t worth it. The beach water wasn’t as clean as I thought it would be. They are boats on this beach so don’t be surprised to see a little oil residue in the water. I never paid $50 dollars to park at a nasty water beach but I have paid $60 at Saco Maine to park a 18 wheeler tractor trailer truck which is def worth it. Paying $50 wasn’t a issue but I expected the beach water to be cleaner and a life guard who talked less. This will be my 1st and last time I...
Read moreThis beach is amazing I’m so glad that I went! There wasn’t a lot of people there the beach is huge , the sand was clean, I found a lot of seashells both large and small, ( also beautiful rocks!! The kids collect them) the water was clean, I went in the month of October on a hot day it was like 80°, and dogs were allowed on the beach(October till like March I think dogs are allowed) but they did not bother me… There were a couple instances where one or two came up to me but the owner eventually called them away that would be my only complaint if I had any, for the dogs to be leashed or at least not come and mess with my items… otherwise the beach was lovely and it was big enough for me to find my own private space and to just relax and chill. ( Also it’s important to note there is no lifeguard during these off months… So if you bring children make sure you watch them I saw a couple that we’re not being watched in the water and I’m glad that the waves did...
