I love this venue! Ive seen some great shows there. The staff are great, and especially security.
I just returned from Willie Nelson's Outlaw tour. I was stoked to see Billy strings perform. Unfortunately, some people are easily offended, especially those who are racist. Yes, I said it. (Staring truth truth in the eyes is the only way to make this country better.) I thought we were human beings. Even more absurd, I thought this was a MUSIC SHOW!!! We're all adults here, right? I'm dark skinned and from Utah, so i know when I'm being judged/harassed because of my color. Although some beautiful souls of all kinds started dancing in my vicinity. they were beautiful. Dancing in my vicinity and enjoying that were there in the first place! Thanks to ALL the WONDERFUL humans! Especially on Memorial Day, were where we're supposed to be remembering our soldiers who died for a freedom.. So no dancing at the outlaw Festival was kind of the opposite of what we should be remembering. Maybe if it was a weak celebration for January 6th domestic terrorists, then anarchy for all. Just please no feces people.
One old coot in particular could have respectfully asked if i could move further away from his line of sight, but that's what a decent man would do, needless to say he didn't do that. I was amazed at how little class the simple country folk had. They'll say they support the troops but they have no clue what they thought for.
The words for Karen sitting caddy corner from me behind me. She was scowling at me. I want even close to her way. So I asked her if she was bothered by me she said yes, so thought he daughter sitting next to get would know why, but her daughter just said 'this conversation is over", dismissing me like a servant. You're
Sorry, but it's been a long time since I've experienced such overt and hostile racism. You're an uncivilized fraud if you go out of your way to make something your problem. It's the self righteous hate mongers that keep this country stupid and tacky. Yes, I'm taking about you sad old woman that just wanted to be angry at something. " let's see what kind of problem I can get this threat to society in?" You're probably bummed when you discovered your white person problems weren't actual problems to real people.
Security: Is he in your way? -no. Is he talking to you over the concert? No. He's in the aisle and it bugs me But he's not bothering YOU? no, but he's hurt my FEELINGS by not knowing his place.
That's what your face said. But if your behavior screamed "spic."
I'm well respected by those who know me, but "don't suffer fools, " as one of my work managers once told me.
I'm going to let all who clowns In on a little secret....
When I truly look at my hands and let it sink in that this brown hand I'm looking at is mine? I can't relate to it. I'm a freaking person. My color doesn't even enter the picture until you jerks bring it up. this is you not me
I'm 55, born in salt Lake city Utah. Being "brown" is the last thing on my mind. Working hard (city Attorneys office), being a good family man, including to my dog, being a good person, and learning from my mistakes is my song so far. Brown people may come into your equation but not mine. I don't give a fuck. It's the quality of a person that matters. Something tells me Billy strings Bob Dylan, and Willie would tell you to get some perspective and appreciate the show. But how could they when they talked louder than the show.
In closing you ruined my night. The only saving grace... I hopefully ruined yours.
No wonder you're all so angry. You're beyond entitled any cant appreciate the big picture and just be grateful for what you have. I know you bought a ticket, but guess...
Read moreI almost didn't go to this concert because it was on a Thursday after work and 1 1/2 hours south from where I live. I've also never been to a concert solo before. Now that being said, WOW I am so glad I chose to go. Luke Bryan is hands down in my top 5 concerts now.
If you are coming southbound I5 there was 0 traffic till literally the exit. The crowd control staff however did an amazing job. From freeway exit to parking took only 10 minutes. I would recommend premier parking if you can afford it or a shuttle service which for $2 cash round trip is a bargain.
I had to park aways out since I got there long after the gate opened, but easy walking and convenient Porta potties along the way. Gives you time to drink a cold one along the way too 😉 l would wear shoes you can walk on cement, grass and gravel easily. Otherwise a little worrisome in the dark back to the car. Not the time for stilletos!
I've never been to this venue but I will with 100% certainty say I will be back again. All food and drinks are card or electronic payment only, if you brought cash they can convert to card for you but unsure if any cost for that exchange. Bag policy is strictly enforced. I watched a family get turned back for a diaper bag that didn't meet criteria. So put those items in an approved clear bag. You can bring in a sealed 1L bottle of water or an empty reusable water bottle. Lots of water refill stations all over. The specific details are on the FAQ section of the website.
I was cheerfully pleased there was a booze booth once you walked in. I had a 5 minute wait and cheerfully got my large spiked pink lemonade in a mason jar. It should be noted if you have seats, not lawn it won't fit in the cup holder. It came with a hefty price tag too. $22 for small and $27 for large. 😳 The good news is there is actual alcohol in it. So not an overpriced fruit drink.
I would highly recommend a dinner pre show or picnic on the way via your drive. Food is costly and lines can be long. But what venue isn't expensive? I saw pulled pork nachos, pizza slices and pretzels consumed by the 1000's all around me.
I had a great seat, section 201 with a good view of the stage and a nice big screen. My oldest attended as well up in the lawn section and when I went up to visit, he had a good view with large screens which were easier to see once dark. Don't forget your sunscreen if lawn seating during the hot days! Outside lawn chairs are not allowed, but available for rental.
Bathrooms are a plenty and the line moves pretty fast. Ideally another bathroom building would be nice but I've seen much smaller bathrooms. There are also Porta potties as well. I can't stress this enough--- TAKE your phone/keys etc OUT of your clothing before using the Porta potty. I watched a woman filming her friend who was decked out in gloves digging in the filth for her dropped phone 😳 at that point, I would have filed an insurance claim and said RIP to my phone.
If you leave a few songs before the end of your show you have an easier time getting out. I left with two songs still to go, and it took me about 10 mins to get back on the freeway once I got back to my car. Again, I think the crowd control did a pretty good job of directing.
To summarize this long review. Show-amazing. Venue-fabulous. Luke Bryan- flawless and all the country men roaming around? Thanks...
Read moreAfter going through security, I was told my ticket would not scan and that I had to go to Will Call to get a new ticket. When I got got to Will Call there was about 15 people in front of me. There was a small sign on the window that stated specific rows had to be reissued tickets. There were two windows open at Will Call. Each party was taking 10-15 minutes to get new tickets printed. One hour ten minutes later I arrived to front and relieved to finally get helped. At that time, the man at the window stated I was in the wrong line and that I had to go back through security and the domain entrance. I told the gentleman at the window that they did not let me into the venue the first time and was told to go to Will Call. After debating this fact for 5 minutes, he disappeared into a back room and appeared to be meeting with a supervisor. He finally returned 20 minutes later and reprinted my tickets (same row and seat). He told me that the bar codes were bad and that the tickets needed to be reprinted with new bar codes for the ticket scanner. After getting our new tickets we proceeded to the main entrance and had our newly issued tickets scanned. I was shocked when the ticket attendant told me my I had to go to Will Call because there was a problem with my tickets . I said that was not an option as the line was even longer by now. After security was called I asked to speak to a higher level manager. After 10 minutes, a manager appeared and told me I could proceed into the venue. By now I was relieved to have this one hour and thirty minute drama behind me. However, when I arrived at my seats, I was sad to learn that two gentlemen apparently had their tickets upgraded to my seats. Where was I going to sit/stand? While trying to figure out what to do, I overheard the people in front of us talking to a security guard about the same problem. Apparently they upgraded people to seats that were already sold. The lights went out and the people whose seats I was occupying asked me to move. The people in my seats would not move. I was screwed! My brother and I ended up goi g from the fifth row center ($ 500 per ticket) to the last row on the grass. I didn’t want to miss the show and spend another 30 minutes in line talking to staff so I made the best of it. I have been to this place a bunch and it looks like it has mew ownership and procedures. They didn’t check tickets when entering the lower section closer to the stage so anybody could walk up to the front. The ushers didnt seem to care that people were crowding into rows that people paid $ 500 bucks for a ticket. After the show, the parking staff could not control the crowd of people exiting the parking lot and cars could not exit due to foot traffic. Previous events had proper crowd control and stopped the flow of people from crossing a street where cars were exiting. Although Kiss rocked the show, the entire experience and lack of customer service left a bad taste in my mouth. Needless to say, I won’t be goi g back...
