I have been to this restaurant quite a few times and have had good service and great food. It is a bit pricey but the looks of the place is unique. I had previously rated this place with 5 stars though now I have changed it to 2. Reason being I was just there on Friday and had talked the place up to some out of staters and we went there to eat. We arrived around 6:30pm and did the wine tasting which was great! From there we were immediately seated @ a table by like 7pm. We sat there for about 10-15 mins before our waitress came to our table to get our drink order! We ordered 2 margaritas and 2 sweet teas. We waited another 15-20 mins before only half the drinks showed up which were the 2 margaritas @ the table. I will let you know that while we waited for our drinks a party of 8 was seated and they received their drinks before we did! Also a table of 5 was seated after we finally received our 2 sweet teas. Mind you that our friends were half way done with their margaritas before those teas came to the table. We finally received our cheese and hors d'oeuvres about 10mins after our drinks. The party of eight had already received theirs and so had the party of 5! In fact they had already received their salads! Me and my friend stepped outside to smoke and finished a cig before the appetizers hit the table. We have now been @ the table about an hour! The only other tables there was a couple that had arrived after the party of 5 and a party of 4 that arrived by the time we got our salads which was like another 20 mins after the appetizers! To shorten this long story up the party of 8 and the party of five and the party of 2 had ate and packed their boxes by the time 3 of us 4 had our main course 2 hrs later!!! When mine finally arrived after the rest of my party was half way done with theirs I didn't want it and they said they would comp my meal! And we only got one refill on our drinks. And the main course was hardly even warm by the time it hit the table! By this time I had tried finding the owner or the manager and both had gone home! I spotted my waitress twice having a conversation with someone who was leaving the restaurant and once with the other waitress! Anyways I asked for a discount on the bill of which I did not receive and the owner (who had returned to the restaurant) got in my face and said she comp my meal and that she would do an investigation with the kitchen and her staff and for me to leave my name and number and she would get back to me. I let her know that no investigation needs to take place when I've told her what happened! She tried to intimidate me when I denied to pay full price! We paid the bill with no discount taking the owners word but here it is Sunday and I haven't received a call! Also they didn't even box my meal up to take home so how...

My husband and I had gone there about 15 years ago for our anniversary, so we decided to do it again. They have a special that includes a room and dinner for under $150.00. I called to make reservations and asked if that included the 'Continental Breakfast' like they used to have and was told by the lady on the phone that it did, so we were excited to try it again. The complementary wine tasting was very interesting and the choice of wines was very good. The tavern was quite small and the bartender told my husband she did not have one of the ingredients for a drink he ordered. After she walked away, he pointed to the bottle she said she did not have, so that was a little disappointing, but we moved on. The dinner was delicious, but where we sat was near a door that led to the bathrooms and it would not stay shut, so cold air continued to rush in on us and it was about 20 degrees outside. The bathroom was freezing and there were no paper towels to dry your hands with. Our waitress took our order, then another lady who was not dressed in the wait staff attire, came out to our table and made our salad and carved our beef tenderloin, so my husband and I did not know who to give the tip to, so hopefully, the two of them split it. The service was slow and the restaurant was not all that busy, so, again, disappointed as well as cold! As for the room, it was quaint, but no phone or internet services and it could have used a better cleaning. The entry door had a large gap at the bottom, so again we were fighting cold air. We finally took the 2 pillows off the other bed and put at the door to keep the air out. Finally, the next morning, we had not gotten our breakfast by 10 a.m., so I called, using my cell phone since their phone did work, to find out why and was told that we had to request it when we checked in! We were not told that when we made the reservations or when we checked in, so I was very disappointed about that. So, in essence, we did not get what we paid for and we checked out and left earlier than we had planned. I might go back for the food, hoping not to sit next to that door and having a more pleasant wait staff, but I do not think I will do...

I hated that we had the experience that we had here. The place is very neat and has an authentic Scottish feel in the inside. The wine tasting was fun as well… however when it came time to eat it was a mess. Three different servers came up to us because no one seemed to know who’s table it was. When the server (never introduced her name) finally took over, we placed our order 30 minutes after being seated. Another 30 minutes passed and she came back and said she had just forgot to put in the appetizer only. It eventually came out for our friends who ordered it but we were still waiting for our food. Another table next to us had came after us, ordered, ate, and left with the same server. It was another 30 minutes before she came back and said SHE FORGOT TO PUT OUR ORDER IN and they were just now starting to make it. A whole hour and a half of us sitting there, you’d think you’d wonder why your table didn’t have their food well before that. And how do you put our appetizer in on the same page that had our orders but not put the order in?! No drink refills in the process either. At that point, we were seated at 6:30 and it was well past 8 I had shared that I was frustrated with our experience and lack of communication and honesty and She had the audacity to roll her eyes and catch an attitude about it!!! I might of stayed and ate (finally) had it not been for her attitude over her mistake. Long story short we drove an hour away to double date for Valentine’s Day and ended up leaving hungry.. sad experience

I will add when we talked to the owner about it I could tell she was heartbroken with our experience. She took our address’s down and thanked us. Honestly with her care I’d give it another try with a...

Do the wine tasting first! Buy your bottles there they are half the price here than when you go into the restaurant. They bring out a complimentary "cheese ball" and a veggie tray. with prepackaged crackers already on the table. The cheese ball I feel pretty confident when I say it was a butterball with some blue cheese chunks in it and paprika sprinkled on the top. Not much flavor at all just an oily texture from all the butter. The veggie tray was kind of interesting, I'm not really sure why they wanted to pair that with the butter ball. Lol should have been breads, that pepper jelly they have and some salami or something. . We ended up getting our salads first because the kitchen was slammed. We didnt mind though. I got the thousand island, house made, and it was so wonderful definitely recommend that!. The stuffed mushrooms were very very good! We were not a fan of the french onion soup, the pastry on top didnt absorb any of the soup, which is why most use bread. But the flavor was still very good. Finally the meal. We got the king and queens prime rib cuts. VERY good! Highly recommend. We got our medium rare and it turned out perfect, the stuffed potato, if a must! The only thing I did not like was the quality in presentation, we didnt mind the price but the face that we got a lot of plastic cups and tiny wine glasses that didn't match. One was to a wedding from 2013 I believe.. we did have fun and ate great food.

DEFINITELY WILL BE COMING BACK!! Iris is the most elegant friendly and adorable host. The staff definitely made you feel like a part of the family. The ambience in this cozy quaint Irish Inn and restaurant was beautiful and all accommodations were perfect for my girl's night out 💜💜💜💜💜💜 The pictures cant even capture the charm of this place...BTW the food and the wine was MOUTHWATERING!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The coolest unique atmosphere feels like you are stepping into another country. Friendly staff and delicious perfectly seasoned food. Today was the first time going for Sunday lunch and the lunch special was outstanding. Stuffed chicken w/cream sauce, brown rice, & stir fry vegetables. Definitely recommend & can't wait to go back to try more things.
