Took my family on this hike. Best hike ever! We started by the entrance of Seven Seas Beach, but we parked on the street. You would need to walk along the coastline going north. There will be a couple areas where you cut through the trees onto a road and then again into the water. We missed the second cut through once we reached the ridgeline along the water as the elevation of the rock gets higher, so we walked around the ridgeline, took us like an extra 20 minutes, so nearly an hour and a half. But once up the natural rock, the view is breathtaking! I actually went into the tide pool where the water cuts into almost a cave, but the water was very rough. It dragged me all the way up against the rock, so I immediately got out and into higher grounds and climbed out. I'm a pretty strong swimmer, but I know my limitations. Low tide is in the morning and late afternoon, afternoon was high tide. Water was very clear. The hike is a difficult level if you don't normally hike, but you can still make it. I would definitely do this again when I return.

Make sure you pack water to drink and it’s best to go in the morning. We did not follow the beach the whole way. We dipped up onto the paved nature preserve trail and followed that all the way down to the rocks. Tons of coral there and it’s absolutely beautiful. No one in site. Once to this point walk to the left and you will see a little dirt path. Follow that over the mountain side. Once you get to the top of that you have the option to go left or right. Pick right and you will see it. We went the wrong way at first and were ready to give up. Even at that point it was worth it because it was absolutely stunning out there. The water so blue and waves crashing hard onto the big rocks and no one was there. The walk back in the heat was brutal so again, bring enough water but I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

Park at seven seas beach or outside las cabezas de San Juan. It's like an hour hike uphill . You would actually see the beach and beautiful trees and landscape on the way up .Bring water and appropriate shoes. When u reach the beach u have to go on top of the mountain on your left side. Be aware there it's loose rock and cactus on the area so must be extremely careful. The hike it's not suit for small children or elderly.Up top of the mountain u will see rocks so u have go down the rocks to actually see it and swim in it. I would recommend when u see the big boulder go around it on your left side and slowly make yourself down. Be careful this it's very high up and u basically have to go down all the way thru out all the rocks and boulders. To reach la zanja.
