Being totally Honest, Of all the year's I have lived and have gone to the Wool Fest in Falmouth Ky, This was the Saddest experience I have ever seen. I totally understand that with Covid hitting and shutting down everything the previous year or so has put some major damage on everything around, But it was bad enough that the admittance went from 5 dollars to 10 dollars per adult adding to that 18 dollars for Their famous Turkey leg as well as mostly the prices for every food vendor has reached an all time high as well.. As a single mother trying to feed my kids and myself was definitely not that doable this year. And the face painting that the kids always loved to get was 10 -15 dollars while I had to pass that up this year was just heartbreaking for the kiddos. This has been a Family tradition of ours every year sense I can remember as well as other families and I am devastated that this may just be the end of that tradition after this year's experience I am very disappointed in what all took place at this year's wool fest. I'm sure alot of families work very hard for their money and really look forward to this event once a year with their families but I'm also for certain that they didn't expect to spend their life savings to do so. I am praying that they get their act together after this year's event and realize that the attendance of people this year was way down from all the previous years before most likely due to everything being so jacked up high they simply couldn't afford it. I'm just saddened for my kids that didn't get to do or get half of the things they looked forward to getting that they have remembered getting the...

We love this festival, and have been coming since the 80s! So many fun things to do! I recommend going on Friday, because it’s the least crowded day. Be advised you have to pay to enter, and it’s cash only, but there is an ATM available in case you don’t have any money. I’d definitely recommend bringing cash, though, because there isn’t great cell phone/internet signal out there, so a lot of vendors can’t take credit cards. There is every type of festival food you can imagine: huge roasted turkey legs, funnel cakes, deep fried Oreos, burgers, bbq, blooming onions, and more. There are 4-5 tents of craft vendors with all sorts of beautiful wares, as well as kid-oriented activities like pony rides, face painting, sand art, and caricatures. There are also lots of free displays- the petting zoo, sheep shearing and herding demos, people spinning wool, music and dancers, ax throwing, a blacksmith, and more. We have a blast every time we come, and I know...

I liked it better when it was a smaller event. It's really crowded now even during the first day when it used to be easily navigated. You're already worn out from the walk from your car to the gate. AND they DOUBLED the price for entry. I would have understood an extra buck or 2, but $10 to get in to see the same things they have every year, was pretty sad. Especially after I spent 7$ on a lemonade. And that was the cheap one. The other size (that looked exactly the same) was $14... On a positive note, all the VOLUNTEERS did an amazing job! So thank you to everyone who busts their butts keeping everything up and running. It just confuses me that much more to consider why they had to double the entry fee when they have sooo much free help. I probably won't be going back for a few years unless...

My apologies for being a city-boy. But, if you're looking to me for adjectives describing Wool Fest, "classy, creative, and contemporary" will not be among them. I find Kentucky people to be generally charming and innocent. But they still seem to be living in the 19th Century. When describing Wool Fest, "dust, dated, and depressing" come to my mind. The highlight of the day was watching my daughter as the little piggy she was holding in the petting zoo tinkled down her shirt and pants. And as for the "main stage"? Let's just say that this "fest" is begging for a facelift and a corporate sponsor. Also, there are two narrow roads for entry points, plan on arriving early or waiting in line for the better part of an hour and getting a car wash when you get back to civilization.

It's quite an experience if you love all things fall, and southern style living. There's 1 road in and you take the same road out. Soo, prepare for some traffic, and if the ground is wet forget about riding your motorcycle down for the day. The good thing is it's very close to kincaid lake so we try to take advantage of both places when the wool fest is going on!!
