My visit to this park was an absolute nightmare. The conduct of the park employees was shockingly unprofessional and blatantly disrespectful. A friend of mine paid for a permit to capture her wedding photos in this park. Despite the permit, our experience turned sour when we arrived late due to the wedding running longer than expected. We were informed that the permit allowed only 20 people on the premises, creating a dispute between the bride and the staff regarding prior communication.

What followed was beyond appalling. The park employees not only disagreed but showcased an atrocious display of condescension and aggression. They went as far as hurling baseless accusations and yelling about the bride being “cheap” and unable to pay for a different permit. This behaviour was completely uncalled for, especially considering the dwindling time the couple had for their special day.

With three employees displaying unwarranted hostility, the wedding party made a difficult decision to leave, trying to salvage what little was left of the couples moments. However it was appalling to discover that despite the argument and time wasted the park employees still went and collected additional payment without any consideration for the previous time the Bride and Groom had lost. Their allocated time remained unchanged, adding to the distress of the situation. This entire ordeal is something no one should ever have to endure.

While I do respect rules and regulations, as any professional would, the complete lack of professional communication was startling. Instead of a civil conversation, we were met with unwarranted aggression, demeaning comments, and an atmosphere that felt uncomfortably tinged with that appeared to be...

The garden itself is charming, UNLIKE its staff members. I was extremely disappointed by the individuals that work here. Do not come here unless you also want to feel patronized on your 5 year anniversary date.

My fiancé surprised me in the parking lot with a small gift that had a single balloon attached to it. Not yet even inside the garden, an individual (who appeared to be the manager) approached us, and questioned our intentions with the balloon. I explained that it was our anniversary, and that I can leave the balloon inside the car if it is not allowed. She then proceeded to comment that the garden will be closing soon, even though it was only 2 PM, and they close at 4 PM. It is also important to note, that other families and couples were still entering the garden while she was telling us this, and they were not stopped or informed about the time.

We made sure to finished our walk through the garden by 3:45PM and went back to our separate cars. While I was looking up the next address I was going to, another staff member knocked on my car window, and said "I don't know if you're aware. But in the state of New Jersey, you can get fined for having your car idle for more than 3 minutes." I quickly apologized, looked at the time, and noticed it was exactly 3:49PM when she knocked. I drove out of the parking lot, and found another place to park to quickly search for the address I needed to go to.

My overall experience was not a pleasant one. The staff here is extremely supercilious, arrogant, and condescending. If it was not for them, I would have enjoyed my time.

Please educate your staff to meet the high standards that should be of this beautiful...

My wife suggested we go to the Leonard J Buck Garden in Far Hills, NJ, recently. "Far Hills", I said, "sounds far, and hilly". "It's a 30 minute ride", the bride said, "and I'm sure it's not that hilly; you can handle it. So, we packed lunches and the kid and set a course for Far Hills. The garden is conveniently located off route 202, and inconveniently too close to I287. But it was a nice drive on a Sunday afternoon, as we arrived around 12:15pm, just 15 minutes after the place opened. There was not enough parking for us in the main lot and also in the overflow lot, so we parked on the street and walked maybe a couple hundred yards to the entrance not bad. On the grounds there is a visitor's center where you can grab a map of the place. Ir, you can just explore and be surprised. The garden is very pretty, with many different types of trees, flowers and any other flora you would see in a garden. The place was easily traversed with nice, well-maintained gravel paths. There were some of the aforementioned hills, but nothing too steep. There were streams, and ponds and some nice little bridges crossing the streams. There were benches where you can relax for a bit. The garden has a lot of shade and there are also some open, sunny areas. All in all it was a nice, relaxing way to spend an afternoon. After touring the garden, I went back to my car for our lunch. There is a partly shaded area where you can eat, but there were only two tables, so you have to be quick. We enjoyed our lunch on the shaded side and then...

Visiting at the Leonard J Buck Garden was beautiful and peaceful. Walking around, there is plenty to see between the different flowers, rocks garden, small bridges, Lily pads in the water, a distant fountain, and plenty of opportunity to sit on a bench or grass to take pictures or sit quietly to listen and look around. If you have any questions, there is an information desk when you walk in. The information center gives the history of who Leonard J Buck was, clean bathrooms, and air conditioned inside if you take a quick look around. This might be really cheesy, I thought the toilet was so cool. Basically, it's an environmentally efficient port a potty. The bathroom is well maintained. The entire garden had short walking distances, and the grounds itself is well taken care of to keep it in the respectful space it is. There are no garbage cans around. You take your trash with you if you decide to eat at a bench or have a picnic. Parking can fill up quickly in the small parking lot. We parked a little further and attempted to stay under the shade. The distance isn't far. Just be careful crossing the road. We'll be back again soon. What a great place to be walking around outside.
