Lake D'Arbonne — Attraction in Farmerville

Seems to be going downhill Needs a lot of maintenance. A lot of the windows don't latch properly, so its easy for someone to break in. A lot of The window blinds are broken. The pier located at (32.772525, -92.488084) has been damaged for some time. A Glass table on the patio of cabin 6 has also been broken for some time. The carpet in some of the cabins have stains. There is also a lot of dead bugs and dust in the window sills. Cracks around the edges need to be sealed to keep out the creepy crawlies. also the free wifi is barely working. Other than that the swimming pool is kept up.

UPDATE: There have been improvements made 2019 year. They finally got rid of the broken table in cabin 6 and replaced all of the patio furniture. Window seals were much cleaner and nearly all of the broken window blinds have been replaced and the windows now lock properly. They also got new automatic soap and paper towel dispensers. The only other improvements they need is to repair the dock, repair the leaking roof in cabin 6 and remove the stains in the carpets. My girlfriend and I went camping here. She camped many times before but it was my first. My gf accidentally left her keys in the trunk of her car and an older gentleman named Matt came to help us. He called a towing company for us and told us we would have to pay $75. We told him could pay it and he said ok and that he would go wait at the gate for the two truck. It came and we couldn’t get the keys. The driver, named Garett, drove me all the way to Ruston just so I could get her spare keys and I found out that Matt was the one that payed for the tow truck. We loved it. Rented cabins there for a weekend get away. The rental process was simple. Reservations can be made online. Payment can be a portion of the rental cost or the total amount payable with a debit or credit card. There are discounts for state park pass holders, military and veterans and first responders.

The delux cabins are 2 bedrooms ( 1 queen bed, 2 bunk beds) , 1 bathroom , full kitchen and living room area. The lake, trails and park in general are beautiful. Great for fishing, hiking, or just hanging out...
