Best shooting range in northeastern ohio, has a great handtrap, pistol, midrange and longrange , and archery range. Great one place that has everything.

I haven't been to any of the hunting, trap, or general nature grounds. I've only been to the shooting range. The DNR staff at the shooting range were fantastic resources for safety and education. The entire mechanism for how the range functions is very organized and safe. My only legitimate issue with the facility is the lack of bathroom facilities. All that exists at the range itself are several portable outhouses. I understand the complications with building a brick and mortar bathroom facility out there, though.

The range itself is made up three separate ranges divided by earth barriers. There is a 25 yard, 50 yard, and 100 yard range you can choose from. Each range operates autonomously from the other and each shooter communicates and cooperates with the others to determine how long a particular session will last. When the session is over, the shooters walk out to the target area together and place and pick up their targets.

I would recommend anyone that wants to enjoy an afternoon of target shooting to check this place out. For an entire year's permit to shoot at any DNR range across the state, it's only $24. For a day...

Great place to go and target practice . With handguns and rifles. Shot guns as well . Very clean and comfortable atmosphere. Different yard lengths for long or short practice. Outdoor range only. Porta pottys on the site. There is also an attendant on duty to explain all the rules .the dos and donts . You can go to Walmart and get a yearly pass for 20 bucks. I think a day pass is like 5 bucks for the day. It is a good place to go. Us shooters don't really have many outdoor ranges to go to anymore without paying an arm and a leg for an hour...

Honestly, this place does not deserve 5 stars. I give it anyway because the employees are only playing thier hand well. This is government land, they have specific rules. It's good they have these rules. Sometimes there are customers who do not speak English. So enforcing strict range rules is a must have. I feel the yards are placed accurately, as opposed to other businesses which are more ambiguous. It's national park land that's rented out to us, 5 dollars this is great. Structured and organized...
