Can’t compliment Rhonda more! We were camping down the road at Ives Run and it was a rainy day. So we decided to check out the local winery. So glad we did!! We are dry drinkers and usually struggle a bit to find good dry wines locally(<1% RS). She asked what we liked and tailored our testing to us telling us all about the grapes and where they came from. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about the wines she offers! We even bought a few that surprised us because they were so unique we can’t wait to share with friends (dandelion, cranberry). Don’t let our experience dissuade you…she has sweet as well we just didn’t try those. The barn is cool, the wines are delicious, and Rhonda is a treasure.

Just fantastic wine in a lovely old 1800's barn they are trying to save. Beautiful drive and a great time. Tasting comes with a glass, love the memories. Very knowledgeable about the wines and the history of the barn. AND Cinnamon Bear bonus!!

Great little place to escape for a while. Very friendly & knowledgeable hosts! The 200 year old barn is amazing and the wine selections are plentiful! We received 8 tastings! We will be back!

We were on a family vacation (stayed outside of Mansfield) and decided to do a wine tasting- my wife and I have done several all over the country but my kids have never been to a tasting before. This was a great experience for them (ages from 21 to 27). Rhonda was a great host and made us feel very at home. By the way, Rhonda knows wine and did a fantastic job explaining each one as we tasted each one. We happen to have our grandkids with us (2 and 4). Rhonda broke out some ice cream sandwiches which was really nice for them. My daughter and son-in-law were concerned whether this would be a good family time- I will say Shutter Homestead has a great family atmosphere. Thank you for such a great experience! I think we bought 12 bottles of wine! Thanks...

My wife and I had a blast! Rhonda is awesome. She is super friendly and knows her wine well. I told her what I like as did my wife, and we weren't disappointed. She threw a couple of curveballs and I found a few types outside what I would normally drink. There really is something for everyone at this location. There is little seating area inside and out. I would do the entire tasting again and recommend it to anyone because Rhonda makes the experience fun and doesn't pressure you to buy things in anyway like other places do. Just remember, she makes an awesome wine slushy, just...
