Lake Wedington — Attraction in Farmington

First let me say the lake was gorgeous! Nice clean camp grounds but the host was a %*$!@ we stopped at bathroom after driving 5 hours to pee then walked about 15 feet to water to check it and camp sites out to see where we wanted to be and the host comes over talking about how she could writ me a ticket for having my foot in the water because it's not the designated swimming area and we could get a ticket for parking by the bathrooms because we weren't camping yet and made assumptions about us drinking and how we could get a ticket if we walked around with a beer I don't drink anyways but she just kept going being a &%$# about giving us tickets and fines for everything we hadn't even been there 5 minutes we just wanted a quiet nice place to go camping with the kids and I bet it's because we have tattoos she thought we'd be trouble she really did...

This place is absolutely terrible now. The gate to enter the camping and swimming beach areas are locked. You cannot take your kids to the playground area, unless you have a watercraft of some sort. What is left of the camping areas are completely overgrown, with fallen trees everywhere. There was an entire dock that appeared to have broken away from it's original place, and allowed to beach itself in the campground area or was drug there and left. This used to be a really nice place. Now the place is a poorly maintained joke. If you expect people to pay the usage fee's to use the facilities, all of the facilities should be available for use. Summer of 2019 my daughter and her classmates spent the day here to kick off their senior year of high school. We grilled, played volleyball, horse shoes, swam, and visited. The rangers were very nice and helpful with any questions we had and the facilities were well maintained. Depending when you go the water sometimes gets too warm to feel refreshing but we went mid July and it was still okay.
