My first try with a Community Shared Agriculture (CSA) program... Fantastic quality & variety & taste! + real pleasant folks that make the time to answer your any questions. An update cause Google beckons. These folk are seriously into good food for the community. In my opinion, they are beyond organic, to steal a phrase from Michael Pollan. If that doesn't ring a bell, no worries, taste and see... FYI... You can always purchase a "harvest card" if you have reasons to not be able to commit to the CSA annual enrollment. Really nice and committed folks is i guess my summary... Except... The produce as well as offerings from other local NE producers is exceptional

I had a fantastic experience at Sub Edge Farm in Farmington. The farm's picturesque setting and serene location make it a must-visit for anyone seeking a slice of rural beauty. The owners are not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable, adding a personal touch to the visit. The farm's commitment to offering locally grown products right from their own land is truly commendable. I'm already planning to make this a weekly tradition, and I can't wait to return.

Went here with a group of friends to learn and make sausages. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot on how sausages are made. Far more complex than I originally thought when it comes to the proper meats to use and ingredients to add. Came home with 10 links plus some sausage meat that I can make into patties. Had a pattie this morning with eggs. Excellent flavor!!! I would go again. Howard was our teacher that evening.

Love Love Love Sub Edge Farm! This will be our 3rd year as Summer CSA customers (large share). Unlike other area CSAs, SubEdge is 100% ORGANIC and they let me choose which vegetables I stuff in my crate. We have also taken advantage of their Meat Share (grass-fed beef and chicken raised at SubEdge), Egg Share (fresh!), as well as the annual turkey order a few weeks before Thanksgiving. We also signed up this year for the Winter Share (Dec - Feb) which averages around 25 lbs of kale, spinach, and several root vegetables I pick up every other week. And they sell high quality vegetable & herb seedlings in late Spring, so no need to chance it with blight-prone plants you typically get at big box stores. When the farm store is open, they carry a variety of artisan breads from the Sweet Sage Bakery (our favorite is the Roasted Garlic & Asiago), frozen meats (raised at SubEdge), and local dairy products. NOTE: extremely fresh eggs that are hard boiled are impossible to peel ... but Cooks Illustrated has solved the problem: Steam (don't boil) them! Bring 1 inch of water to a rolling boil in a large covered sauce pan, place eggs in a steamer basket and lower the basket into the saucepan and cover. Steam 6-12 eggs over the boiling steam bath for 12 minutes, then place them in an ice bath for 10 minutes. Then,...

Went out with my 11 year old daughter to enjoy the afternoon and drive through the country. Drove by sub Edge Farm and could not resist stopping in to look at some of the animals and the beautiful scenery. Wonderful people and truly organic beautiful Farm Store with abundance of unique and organic fruits, vegetables, free range organic chicken and much more. In addition these fine folks are smart enough to understand in this time of covid that they're beautiful field made the perfect home for an outdoor function. We saw a white tent surrounded by catering and beautiful Farm country with what looked like a very safe and beautiful wedding function happening when we were there. If you're looking for a great organic Farmstand and some quality people with a beautiful property I strongly suggest you stop by and check them out! I already mentioned the beautiful wedding I saw to my cousin who is planning hers. I love to support and see people driving and living well during such a difficult time in our country and on our planet. Keep it up Sub Edge! I appreciate what you guys are doing and love everything I sampled from...

Fresh, friendly, and fun. That's Sub-Edge Farm. If you've been looking for locally raised chicken, pork, and beef at your local farm stand, but haven't found any, try Sub-Edge. Right now they have their own whole chickens, many between two and three pounds. I've bought them and they are truly delicious. Try this with one of them: Wash and dry the bird. Salt and pepper cavity. Truss wings and legs against breast. Sprinkle whole bird with about a tablespoon of kosher salt. Season to taste with pepper. Roast in preheated 450 oven for 50 to 60 minutes. Do not baste. When done, baste with chicken juices (and some minced thyme, if you like). Let rest for 15 minutes. Carve bird. Slather meat with butter. Serve with mustard on the side, veg, and salad. Get a Sub-Edge chicken and...
