was attending a birthday party for a friend and my mother who is 72 years old and in a wheelchair related to having one leg had a extremely difficult time getting to the outdoor tent area related to there being absolutely no wheelchair accessible ramp anywhere. When we did finally get her to the location where party was being held, my mother needed to use the restriom. When we got into bathroom there was 2 stawls and not either stall was wheelchair accessible or had higher toilet seat nor did they have any type of grab bars. My mom's wheelchair of course couldn't fit in any stall so I had to get in the stall in front of her and allow her to hold onto my arm so she could hop to the toilet and back to wheelchair and of course she wasn't able to have any privacy related to bathrooms being so small that she couldn't close the stall door with wheelchair in there. When we got out of bathroom I noticed a handicap sign on the mens bathroom door so I approached the bar area and asked a bartender working there that if my mom needed to go to the restroom again could she use the mens if it was empty. I was told yes but was also informed that the mens bathroom was the same size as women's and stalls were not any larger and there was no grab bars in there either. I'm not sure what they think handicap accessible is but for my mom it isn't a joke and I was very upset about this. Then on top of it all the older male bartender was very hateful and acted as if I was bothering him by ordering drinks. He made my margarita and let me tell you it was horrible. I took 2 sips and said no more he really needs to learn to make a mixed drink for sure. The music was amazing but extremely loud and you wasn't even able to visit with your guest unless you walked way outside and to the tree line cause you couldn't hear them. I'm not thinking I will be returning back here after the entire let down on 7/30/22.

Read moreI was there this past Saturday for "Witches Night out" and was VERY disappointed to say the least. The price to attend the event was $25.00 and you literally received nothing in the "stuffed backpack" that was described. There were a few pens from local banks, and a few schedules for MAC activities. I arrived at 6:45 p.m. the event was supposed to start at 7:00 p.m. and there was not a single place to sit. It did not state anywhere that early admission would be accepted. My friend and I waited in line for 30 minutes to receive a drink that was so disgusting that we could not even drink it, we waited in line again to get a different drink, hoping we would receive a good, only to receive another drink that was completely GROSS. The entertainment was horrible, no room to move around and VERY small selection for food. This was a HUGE disappointed and a complete waste of $25 and a...
Read moreFriday the 13th of October will remain a blessed day...Darcy and Jeremy and the rest of the staff at the winery made everything so effortless. As my daughter said, "It takes alot of planning to make for simple and comfortable." Twin Oaks provided the perfect backdrop for her simple dream. We were allowed alot of freedom for setup....and Darcy seemed as invested as we were in making everything perfect. She couldn't have been more accommodating. We chose Twin Oaks for its beauty, its flexibility in working with us, and the fact that the Glass House provided for our two biggest worries for such a venue --cold weather and rain, neither of which occurred, but it did provide for a great Plan B, just in case. At other local venues we'd have been paying $850 more for such contingencies. It was a local small town feel and we appreciated...
