An enormous park with wine tasting ($), apple picking ($$), maize maze ($$), hay ride and pumpkin picking ($$), and a DELICIOUS, pastries filled market. There are other smaller mazes that are fun and fit for adults and kids alike, just not as large as the main 8 acres maze.
My favorite things about the park were the maze and the market. They had great selections of pastries, fudge, and ice cream among other things. The maze was huge and you could spend hours walking it, but the kids really enjoyed it and that made for a good day.
Their selection of food was American outdoor concession style ($) and the pricing was very reasonable. My burger was good and the fries were great 😁. They also serve/sell coffee, soda, water, and apple cider. The pizza is 'okay,' and the nachos are good when they're hot, but they cool pretty quickly when the sun is already coming down.
Update 2024: Huge updates to the bouncies as they're now under a cover and there's a bar that serves adult drinks there. There are now dedicated restrooms near the bamboo maze (that maze has been there and it's really nice). The rest of the park is very streamlined and there are many kids rides and games there, including pig races which YOU MUST TRY! It's so much fun...
Read moreWhat a great family friendly place! This was my second year taking our children. There was so much to do and we could spend all day there. They have an app for the Maze so you can see yourself in the Maze and the way out. This allowed me to take our young kids in without fear of getting stuck in there and it allowed me to easily find the way back to the exit. The food is reasonably priced around $5 to $7 for hot dogs, hamburgers, Etc $6 for an apple cider slushie. 50 cents for a pack of fruit snacks or a small Slim Jim or a cow tail. They do allow you to bring your own food in which is a great benefit for families. It allows us to pack a lunch. Activities are great for a variety of ages-from slides to a tractor dressed up like a train, different things to climb, 2 bouncy inflatables and a giant corn box and more. They have one set of bathrooms and some porta-potties that are kept clean. I only wish they had the porta-potty up on the hill by the kids activities again this year. If you have been to Cherry Crest Farms, this is similar but less walking required and more affordable. Each of those Farms have their own specialties. I enjoy both. Apple picking here is great and easy for the kids to do and is well priced especially...
Read moreMy husband and I enjoyed our trip to maize quest for our anniversary. We went in the morning/early afternoon, so it wasn't super crowded. The maize is SO big, be prepared to spend over an hour (maybe 2) if you have kids. My husband and I got out of the maize in about an hour, but we left through the early exit, which is in the last section of maize (we were exhausted!). We didn't go experience the rest of the park because it seemed to be only geared towards kids, and it was very crowded.
We had a Groupon that also gave us the opportunity to pick apples. The apple orchard is located about a quarter mile up the road. You have to make a right out of the maize quest park, then it will be on the left. The orchard was our favorite part. We were given a bag to fill with apples, and it had to be 40 apples that we picked!
Highly recommend the maize quest park if you have a family, and the orchard for a date. Overall an enjoyable experience.
The only con to the experience was the bees at the eatery at the entrance of the park. One literally flew into my free apple cider, so I never got to enjoy it. Do not sit in front of the eatery, go back to your car or find somewhere else if you'd like to enjoy your food...
