I love to bring the dog and the duck here. I gather my driftwood they both get to play. We chase eachother and explore the beach area and in the "woods". My dog doesn't swim or chase sticks... But gets to roll in dead fish and pee on all the trees possible while my duck eats any bug or everything insight. I like that there isn't a playground on at least the STL side that I've noticed... It keeps the traffic down and people aren't bothered by the overwhelming population of "super-youth" I guess you could call it. I try to do my part and collect drift wood and pick up trash people left, or debris washed up from the river. I don't own a boat for the use of the water spicket like most do...but the pets get baths with dawn soap (safe for all animals and prevents ticks and your car from nastiness...) The view is always amazing and the people are cordial. I haven't seen the sunset from there because and as it should be- Dawn/Dusk Hours. Everyone seems to respect the rules and guidelines that both Jefferson County & St. Louis County hold. As long as everyone does their part to keep up with the contentment of the park; we can continue enjoying the...

It has 2 boat launches for use. They ask for a $6 donation for use of the boat launches. There's no playground equipment for kids but you can take them fishing off shore or from boat. There's a asphalt walking/bike trail that leads out of the park, part of the "Meramac Greenway". There is 3 covered concrete pads located throughout the park with picnic tables . I don't believe u can reserve them but I may be wrong. I've rarely seen them in use. There's some bbq grills and port-a-potties near the pavilions. Early in mornings the park is frequented by people riding bikes, running walking for exercise. Occasionally there's married people meeting for flings since the park doesn't get much traffic except in summer then the parking near the launches are full of boat trailers...

Second time I've been here once was I say 20 some years ago. I'm a rock collector I had my paddle board and did not take a bucket for rocks I was utterly shocked at the rocks are gorgeous there couldn't wait to get home to clean them but I had such a good time paddle boarding out there I am bound to go out there quite often. It was peaceful nobody bothered there was boats on the water or jet skis they did not bother us on the paddle boards. There's people partying and picking on the banks I do believe the party was a birthday party for a little girl. But other than the day was beautiful and I can't say nothing better but to enjoy yourself at this park I would highly recommend this...

This Lake/Park is a must do if you own a Seadoo or a boat in St Louis, St Charles Area it's close little busy on the weekends but you're on the Meramec and your there quickly. Quite a few picnic tables and Pavilions two boat ramps that I'm aware of, with multiple Lanes. The ramps are at what looks to be a big lake area with many others near Downstream.

Very quiet and peaceful park with a great view of the Meramec River. There were a few other people out boating, kayaking, fishing and walking. There are a couple of pavilions, picnic tables, and a portapotty.

Awesome fishing spot in the STL area. Bring some shoes you don't care about if you are shore fishing. It gets pretty muddy. Tip - the gar in the little pond like area up front love roosters 🤙
