My husband and I spent six weeks in this lovely beach front condominium in the Turtle Dunes complex. It has a great view of the beach and ocean, and the BEST view from the deck of the sunrise over the Atlantic. The inside of this home has a well equipped kitchen, great bathroom linens, a very comfortable master bed mattress and ceiling fans that keep things cool on hot days or nights. There is plenty of closet and dresser space, and a stacked washer and dryer. One bathroom has a tub and shower and the other has a walk-in shower. If you enjoy HOT showers, you won’t be disappointed. The walk to the beach is down just one flight of stairs or an elevator ride down one floor. The pool is a few steps from the beach and has plenty of lounge chairs to get comfortable in and read a book or catch a few rays. I honestly can’t think of anything missing from this accommodation. And, working with Amelia Island Getaways was a real pleasure! Their instructions were easy to follow and complete. They were always just a text or phone call away if needed. We highly recommend this rental and using AIG!

Our stay at Ocean Place 43 was absolutely wonderful. The condo was spotless, comfortable, and decorated with pretty beach decor. The kitchen was well appointed with plenty of dishes, cups, silverware, pots, pans, dishwasher, etc...and even a blender for my protein shakes! It was equipped with a full size washer and dryer, which is sometimes hard to find in a vacation rental. Since we had flown, the beach towels and beach chairs were greatly appreciated. Another perk was the reclining seats on the couches. It was also great to have board games available, which we used. Both bedrooms were beautiful and the beds were comfy and had top quality bedding. It was also really nice to have pump hand soaps available at each sink. The owners thought of every single detail. We loved the breathtaking view, and enjoyed sitting on the balcony enjoying the sights and ocean breeze. I cannot say enough positive remarks about this property. It's hands-down the best vacation rental we've ever experienced! We hope to return again! Thank you, Amelia Island Getaways!

This was our first trip to Amelia Island and we were extremely satisfied with our experience using Amelia Island Getaways to plan our vacation. Lori and the rest of the folks were very helpful in facilitating us finding the perfect accommodations to meet our needs. Check in and check out we’re easy. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo on the 2nd floor of Turtle Dunes. The unit was beautifully decorated and fully equipped. The view was spectacular as you can see from the attached pictures taken from the balcony. The folks at Amelia Island Getaways were very responsive to any requests. They even provided a list of preferred restaurants for our use. We would certainly recommend Amelia Island Getaways for any of your accommodation needs. We will certainly use them again when we return to Amelia Island.

We have owned rental property on Amelia Island since 2011 and are former clients of Amelia Island Getaways (AIG). Our contract with AIG was just 12 weeks long (May-August 2019).

Early in the summer the air conditioning (AC) went out in our unit. After we were notified by AIG, we immediately contacted a local AC repair company and offered to move the tenants or bring in portable AC units and we were informed by AIG that the tenants declined. The local AC company came out the next day and restored the unit. That evening the unit failed again and we called the repair company again. The repair company responded promptly and determined the unit needed to be replaced. We scheduled the replacement for the later in the week (soonest possible). Once the tenants were informed the AC would need to be replaced, they agreed to move to another unit in the same building.

Obviously, this was a very difficult and challenging situation for everyone, the tenants, AIG and ourselves. We paid the rental costs for the new unit and offered the tenants a discount for their discomfort during their stay at our unit. Unfortunately, this was not the end of our troubles with this issue.

At the end of the week the AC was repaired and we were surprised to receive a text from AIG that “they could no longer represent our unit”. AIG gave the tenants a much larger refund than we agreed to, resulting in zero revenue for the week for our unit. AIG kept all their commission on the original rental amount and in addition, we were charged for “work orders” covering AIG activities during this event.

In the ensuing conversations with AIG, we noticed a continued refrain about ‘negative customer reviews.' In our opinion, AIG willingly sacrificed their relationship with their clients in order to minimize the risk of a poor review. We acknowledged receipt of the “60 days notice” as outlined in the property management contract because we felt AIG was solely focused on their interests and showed us they did not value our relationship or interests. By the end of the following week, the VRBO ad for our unit was removed and therefore no opportunity for “bad review.”

One point of contention between us was with the contractual language. The contract allows AIG to “refund or move” tenants at their sole discretion. While we were fully willing to compensate the tenants for their discomfort and paid the rental costs at another unit, AIG’s decision to double the refund we offered and terminate the contract sent us researching the contract terms. The contract as written does not allow AIG to both refund AND move (at their sole discretion).

Subsequent to this (during the 60 day period), we had additional problems with AIG. 1) One family damaged outdoor furniture and AIG refused to file an insurance claim or withhold funds from the deposit to cover the damages. 2) When we signed on with AIG, we were required to pay for an annual subscription to VRBO. When the VRBO account was cancelled, we were not refunded the full balance. We asked that the adjustments be made on our final statement, but we only received unprofessional and derogatory responses from the AIG Owner and no adjustment was made.

Yes, all of this in just 12 weeks. Our initial excitement for working with AIG and getting “high quality personal service” they professed was quickly squashed and we are simply appalled at their unprofessional behavior and terrible management...

We reserved a home for 18 family members to celebrate my mother's 90th Birthday. The reservation was a very smooth process. The staff was very kind and helpful to all the questions that we asked. The first night the upstairs air conditioner was not working. We contacted AIG and they had someone from Milt's within 30 minutes of our phone call there to assess the situation. Jeremy was with Milt's Air Conditioning. He was very professional and stayed until he fixed the problem which did not take long. Our sleeping arrangements were fantastic and we slept great! We had several reasons for choosing this particular home. My Mother who turned 90 and gets around fabulous. Mostly, one story with a very open concept without feeling like everyone was on top of each other. The pool was awesome. It was great for the little ones to be able to swim and be right there. My mother lived on that beach for 45 plus years. We thought that she could sit by the pool and enjoy the view of the beach. I was a little concerned about the house being located between two large condominiums. However, we felt like we had our own piece of paradise. Everything that we needed was there! I would highly recommend renting from Amelia Island...

We LOVED our stay in this condo! We were in town hosting our Marine son and it was perfect for 3 of us.

Communication was outstanding! Very responsive, friendly and professional, answering all our questions timely.

Two bathrooms were a huge win. The beds were super comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of cookware, utensils, serving bowls and dishes. Including a Keurig, and drip coffee maker both, regular toaster toaster, as well a toaster oven, food blender, hand mixer and more. Definitely everthing you need to prepping, cooking and baking.

The neighborhood is quiet and SAFE! I was very comfortable going on walks around property grounds after dark. Our pup was also comfortable with our stay and especially loved being friendly with the turtles around the ponds. :)

We walked to local eateries & shops - (appox distance
