Highly recommend this spot for birdwatching. The trail, although it involves some elevation gain, is relatively easy and enjoyable. Note that there are no trail markings; when you reach the fork, I recommend taking the right path. This will lead you to the highest point, which offers stunning views of the Mississippi River and Lake Winneshiek.
Along the trail, you'll encounter many songbirds and woodpeckers, while the top provides an excellent opportunity to observe birds of prey.
