This was a really beautiful beach with a really terrific trail system. I would encourage you to take beach and hiking shoes if you plan to do both. You can find a lot of sea glass, depending on weather and some pretty stones and petosky. There are benches at the top of the dunes that overlook the lake and great for viewing sunsets. It is gated with sign noting it is locked at sunset which caused some anxiety about making sure we didn't get locked in. If you use All Trails, make sure you download it because you will have trouble with no satellite service. I was able to navigate the trail just by turning...

If you’re looking for a sandy beach without a lot of rocks, this is it. There are life jackets free for anyone to borrow near the parking lot. Nice walking trail although there are some steep hills and lots of tree roots. Bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. There is a creek that goes through the woods, I’ve heard people find beach glass in all the time-I haven’t found any myself as I found the creek to be very murky. If you’re a rock hound looking for a new spot- I’ll save you the time,...

Such a unique and peaceful place! 🤩we found this park and beach towards the end of our vacation, but I hope we'll be back in the future in here. There is a parking lot, restroom, bench for photos or views, Short Walk to the beach, lots of spots for cool rocks hunting.. we took carry out for lunch at place nearby and drove here to eat our lunch and enjoy amazing views. Wwe also saw a few people bring their hanging hammocks and enjoy the sunset in them....

This was our first time exploring Magoon Creek in Manistee, Michigan. At first glance, it didn’t look promising, just sand as far as we could see. But beneath the surface, the rocks were waiting. Luckily, my mom came prepared with long handled scoops, and just like that, the hunt was on. You never know what’s hidden just below the surface.
