This is a beautiful shoreline park and hidden gem in the Manistee area. It’s a bit off the beaten path but there is as much beach as the eye can see. It also connect to Magoon Creek. The beach is a short walk from the paved parking lot. And then you walk down a short sand dune to get to the water. It’s a great park for those who rock-hunt or collect beach glass. However it’s also nice for a relaxing walk, to take your dog, or have a beach day with the family! There is one port-a-potty at the parking lot. Read moreThis is a lovely Park nestled along the shore of Lake Michigan. Unfortunately this parks doesn't open until 8 a.m. There is limited parking outside of the gates for early birds. Upon arrival be prepared for a very short walk down to the water. I visited this park on a weekend and was shocked to only see one other person during my two hour visit there. I would recommend stopping here whether it's to relax by the water and read a book, catch a few rays, comb the beach and/or to watch a sunset... Pretty much any place along Lake Michigan...
Read moreSmall of the beaten path park. You will need to have it in your GPS, or you could miss it. Parking is limited, maybe 15 spots. There are picnic tables and lots of shade. Go to the end of the park and you can get to the beach. You have to walk down a slope. It is steep and about 150 feet to the beach. So worth it once you get there. The view is beautiful and plenty of space to move out and be away from other people. There is no lifeguard. Also a cool place to look for rocks...
